Diablo III PTR 2.7.6 - Has Concluded

Anyone read if the Altar is going to NS.

Not for me, ill be more tempted to try different builds that are suboptimal because i dont need to constantly think about my paragon grind and have the best builds. Plus now everyone has a level playing field for leaderboards. I’m super excited

iirc there is a tweet saying that this wil be a permanent feature from seaon 30 onwards.
so its skipping season 29 (for some reason)

Honestly, season 28 should have been the last before things got recycled. In season 28 I did more than I did (based on paragon and GR level) my entire time in D3 and I’ve played since the beginning.

It feels like we have this big blowout of an ender and are entering into a whimper of a season in comparison.

I like it. SSF mode is what I do all the time. I never play in groups.

Solo Self Found sounds great - didn’t expect that.

Paragon Limit ok but 800 is too low. Also the balance seems to be totally off.
40% CDR as one block that’s more than 8% rolls on 5 items …
I think p3000 would be an appropriate limit (with the old limit of 50 for single stats)

The Crusader changes are horrible.
Why a second belt for Fist of Heavens?
You need Crimsons belt and both FoH belts now… whoever designed that didn’t think 5 minutes about it…
Use a bracer for the new belt effect.

I like the theme and the changes to paragon but… could we actually have more changes to classes? for example revive the EQ barbarian?

Short ssf and remove set dungeons. Great, solid job. You doing great job in this path.

Yep, I saw that, but it just wasn’t clear to me if it will a Season only feature. I hope NS as well.

The wording makes it sound like they just picked a baseline and they’ll adjust from there. Likely set on the low side to avoid the cries of ‘nerf’ when it gets adjusted.

This is, in my opinion, the best patch they’ve ever had post expansion. Everything about it is correct. The paragon cap is perfect. The SSF is fantastic.

Paragon ceiling of 800?
I guess people will be done with the season inside a week.

Ssf… nah. No more split bounties… those are quite boring. Even less xp as no more groups. Nor groups grs… at least buff xp to close the gap with group play. Groups will be harder and harder to find.

Doing an EN instead of set dungeon, finally!
Hopefully they remove both set dungeon season journey requirements.

Perhaps also ensure an EN key drops in a timely manner.

I like that altar becomes permanent after s29. Hopefully also in non season.

The worst part of D3 is the endless bots farming paragons to absurd levels. There’s a reason why no other game has copied the uncapped paragon mistake of D3.

Mastering a set dungeon was easy on many classes but painful on others. I preferred that be on the journey than several others.

All classes has at least one fairly easy one, but difficulty between sets are quite immense.

I like the cap at paragon 800. D3 is not about paragon farming. It should be more about skill and gear.

I proposed a paragon capped leaderboard in parallel with the regular leaderboard awhile back.

It will be interesting to see who tops the next season leaderboard.

Yeah, it kinda is. Paragon is by far the biggest contributor to your power level.

That is not terribly healthy. The game should be about fun, not paragon grinding.

That is a valid opinion for sure, but that doesn’t change the reality of it as it stands.
