Diablo III PTR 2.7.6 - Has Concluded

The lack of communication from our CM speaks volumes.

Lack of balance changes is very disappointing. Captain America is still underpowered.

My take on this:

Vigilante power is still unchanged, also still two belts required.
Visions still tp you to town after clearance
No QoL added to season theme (like auto pickup, which synergizes great with the Visions theme)

I’m quite dissappointed right now

Have to wonder where Blizzard’s head is at. They reserved a 2 week PTR in the schedule for testing yet they gave us very little to test. Yes, the Fissures is a nice theme but it gets tested fully in less than a day. It’s the balance changes that require more extensive testing and they gave us barely any changes to test. The mid-PTR patch made no further changes.

As of now this PTR feels almost a complete waste. I see very little reason to for myself to continue testing.

Yep. If this is really all they feel that needs to change before the official start patch notes, they might as well wrap up the PTR right now.

One more week of testing the same stuff isn’t likely to bring new valuable feedback.

Especially if none of the feedback gets heard.
I see no change at all that relates to the given Feedback

You guys have to admit that it’s always been like this (lack of feedback from blues).
Seeing Matthew post in a few threads this time around was like seeing a mirage.

I know, I couldn’t believe my eyes. We got actual responses from a blue? And it wasn’t corporate speak? Insanity!

I just noticed that the GR progression percentage is visible at all times, from 0% to 100%. How long that’s been there? It used to become visible only once past 90%.

Whatever the case, it is very welcome change.

It has always been there. From start to finish.

On the live server it isn’t. You have to hover the mouse cursor over the progress marker to see the actual percentage. It becomes visible only after passing 95%.

On the PTR the percentage is visible from 0% to 100%.

I think that’s what he meant. It was there since the beginning of the PTR.

  • Vigilante Belt:
    • No previous bonus.
    • While riding your war horse, Fist of the Heavens deals increased damage equal to your movement speed, and is automatically called down on a random nearby enemy at an interval based on your attack speed if it is on your action bar.

I am glad to see the appearance of such a property! TY Devs!

But I do not agree that such an affix also gives additional damage, because in this way this affix will be used not only for fun and fast, but also for PUSH! It seems to me that such properties should be only for fun and fast!
PUSH is not FUN, PUSH must be HARD! just IMHO

For pushing, Heaven’s Fury variant is still better.

yes, but it seems to me that FotH is also worthy of being

and many many others

FotH should be buffed to be viable for pushing.
They should keep the Vigilante power active for 5s after steed charge, so that you can actively attack youself and have some additional passive damage from the autocasts

Furthermore one of the belt powers should be moved to bracers, so that the build doesn’t lose access to Cpt.Crimsons

Now that I’m done with the PTR and gone back to live server, I realized what they meant with this:

Developer’s Note: We wanted Gears of Dreadlands to be easier to play optimally. However, we had to forgo the visual indicator that showed stacks.

The icon no longer has the timer shadow overlay, it’s just a static icon and it only shows the stack count. A bit misleading description as the actual visual indicator is still there.

I have come to almost the end of the PTR. just set dungeons are left, and to be honest not a fan of doing those. I can see that for the 100%'s that would be a good thing. but for a PTR i feel that aspect should be left out.

Paragon cap: It a good start given we was stuck at 50 for the longest time. If this is part of the game after this PTR, then those that have a large amount of Paragon would be upset. It also comes down to the person and their play style.

The change in regards to the Crusader is welcomed. I played that one the most and rather enjoyed it. I have an issue with controlling that dang horse.

I would like to see more options with crafting on the console. (fallout 76 has the option to allow the user to add the amount to craft) this hold true for PC version of D3, which is nice. It would be a good help for the console players to have that option.

To conclude, this was my first PTR for D3 and it was cool and i look forwards to doing more

I thought they removed them.

  • Removed Mastermind from the Champion portion of the seasonal journey. This means you no longer must master a Set Dungeon. Instead, it has been replaced with Overcoming the Trials, which asks you to complete an Echoing Nightmare.
