I just want to know or at least hope, that in this new diablo 4. You will be able to use if not all, then most weapon types for all classes. For example the sorceress being able to use a sword Or two handed weapon. Or the amazon or whatever archer archetype won’t be locked behind the bow and can use swords and other weapons. If for this to happen, another thing I’m worried about. Like what the characters standard attack or normal (non spell) attack input. For example if a sorceress is using an axe or bow for example. She will actually use it like swing the axe or shot an arrow. Not just carry the weapon around and shot a default magic attack. Then if she Is using a magical staff like she suppose too, with the normal input she’ll attack with it hitting a demon in the face with end of her staff. Just makes no sense too me and makes all the weapons pointless or useless if you can’t actually use them. They all need normal attack animations. Sure let them use other weapons, but make them severely underpowered compared to what their specialty weapons are.
Yes and no, I think just giving them a class affixes type bonus would be enough. Like a bow having +10% damage (only for demon hunter) for an example. Or just passive skills to add to their specific weapons. That way other mythical type weapons will still be useful to all classes. Just a thought.

I mean have all weapons with all class affixes. Everything magic weapon and up have an default affix, With all 5 classes. Just each class with different types or better types on their prefer weapon. It’s hard to explain. But mainly what I’d like too see the most is having all the damn weapons useable. With each its own animation and attack that every class can use. Like a Barbarian shooting an arrow with no skill or spell. Or a mage swinging an axe, or demon hunter swinging a sword. Then that way for unique or mythic weapons. The standard attack can change for the weapon. Like a mythic sword having a boosted attack speed, or revive on kill. Or perhaps fire, ice and lighting damage. But have the unique affix only work on normal attack don’t let it add to The characters other skills or spells. Maybe a mythic staff with its normal standard attack that summons a demon or something. Just ideas and examples.
