It seems to precisely be just that. A darker Diablo 3 in more WoW Fashion with some Diablo 2 disguise (e.g. “Runes” and “Talent trees”).
I love ARPGs since I´m a child… from diablo to hellgate to grim dawn, sacred, titan quest, etc. I consider myself a total casual - Im in my mid 20s, got great relationship, a Job/Career as ongoing psychotherapist, go partying, do art, do Musics, read Philosophy, have travelled and stuffs. Im “basic basic” and I dont have lots of time to play. So Im casual basically. I feel heavily turned off by Diablo 3 though, and the way Diablo 4 feels from what is shown.
So what exactly is it that makes me not feel like a casual - or what is “casual” actually? When they cater to “casuals” and as a result dumb it down… Is the Problem me wanting to use my brain? Is it that Im not as easily entertained, or just -differently- entertained?
“How” then are the “casuals” entertained? I mean its like Hollywood. I can totally enjoy most of their movies when I numb myself down, but that aint the Purpose of Quality or the way to real thrill and enjoyment.
I feel like if Nietzsche was into Video games, and Diablo was equivalent to the Man of this Worlds (and Woman, of Course)… he`d have suffered even more than he did in his real life with humanity haha

If blizzard doesnt seriously listen to the feedback on this game they are going to have another diablo 3 situation on their hands. they made steps in the right direction but also seemed to miss alot of key issues that people had with diablo 3. the items, and the combat, and difficulty level of the game all need serious work. also level caps at 40-60 or whatever wow like cap and boe items just like wow are both a complete slap in the face imo. make all items tradeable. make items seem powerful, make drop rates like d2 ie. extremely low so the uniques/legendaries are actually considered valuable and not everyone is running around with their full set after a few weeks just like in d3 and wow… make the items tradeable, the list goes on…

you should play diablo immortal when it comes out.
For starters, the BoP, “soulbound,” and bind after trading garbage needs to be scrapped, now, before the game gets too far into its development life. Like you say, they seem to be out of touch with their own IPs, instead just shoehorning their precious World of Warcraft crap into Diablo. Make an ARPG and stop with your bubble gum WoW stuff.

Tuned out when the OP felt the need to lead off his post with “I have lots of great sex”.

Since Blizzard North Closed August 1, 2005 the Day Diablo Lost it Roots
Blizzard Enterntainment care about WoW more than Diablo. Shouldn’t it be equally?
Doesn’t Blizzard love Diablo ? Diablo and WoW are two different games, let the other stay away from the other.
