Diablo 4 feedback

Just wanted to throw in my 2cents as an avid diablo fan that’s played since the first release. Let me know your opinions. What do you like or don’t like? Let me know your thoughts and ideas.

really hope they add some hidden secret Easter egg levels and dungeons no one knows about, receiving hints in game via the NPCs.

I also hope the game has good battle mechanics and isn’t easy. bosses and mobs randomly cast different spells and attacks for example. More strategy involved.

dark and impactful scary boss/enemy encounters like in d2. Opening that door and butcher killing you was super exciting. Would like stats like str, dex to come back for more customization.

multiple viable builds not 1 or two, for each class with customization to spells . Would love for my equipment to not determine what spells I must use and more towards the d2 free for all build of mixing and matching spells and equipments.

fun world boss fights that are randomly spawned in an act randomly every 1-2hrs, being announced via in-game. I feel this would stop bots from just standing at where he spawns.

All bosses in each of the acts to have viable loots since I love farming. Would love to boss hunt all the acts, grinding for specific items I need. This will also give you the chance to return to beginner acts. Maybe have the loots activated once reaching max level or higher difficulty. Maybe have the world bosses drop mystic gear that’s bind on equip non tradeable

Fun pvp to flex on my friends

D4 separate east and west servers with the ability to play together.

Multiple end game content not just gr race on leaderbord. Max level 40 seems really low I would love the 99 d2 leveling system instead. Maybe have a 40 soft cap and exponentially increase to 50. Would give people that want to achieve it can while

Base game + 2 expansions each containing a new character, items, skills and massive content.

Amazon with spear build and assassin with dual daggers or katars please. I’d be super happy if I can play a javazon again.

Monetization: Cool looking cosmetic skin sets kinda like in league of legends that are super unique maybe with some different attack animations?, mounts, pets. No p2w, pay to progress or Quality of life items to be purchasable.

I’ve been keeping up with the d4 quarterly updates and must admit I’m liking the direction it’s going in. Thank you everyone working on the project for the blood and sweet you’ve been putting in. Also for taking our feedback into consideration and being open with the development process.

No copypasting from other games. The cow level was okay in D3. The rainbow level, not so much.
Secret levels are fine. Just… Fit it to the theme some more.
And as someone else wrote, whom I don’t know = don’t listen too much to the players. Ofc. they will need to take us into consideration. A good playerbase knowledge is key. However, too much can ruin the game.
Diversity. As D3 promised back in 2012 = builds, builds and builds.
As of what I’ve seen in the demo, you can either smoosh a druid together with the different skillsets, or go completely bear/wolf/druid caster mode, this I like. Either let us smash something together or let me define if I want to be a tanky bear growling or a casting druid raining down wrath of the nature all the time.

Lore, story… I love how Blizzard can put stories together with cutscenes/movies.
Keep me excited on this part.

Some form of a small’ish beginner-storymode for each class. This I would love. Start in an area as a rookie, learning your way before unlocking the main game/storyline. This is not for everyone, but for me it would be nice. If so, let us be able to replay this “questline” if we needed to go back and experience it.

Something that was a bit off for me, was the ability to dash around infinitely… A smaller CD on that would be a bit more… Not awkward gameplay?

I like the route of the skilltree, some unlocks passives that buffs you in some form of way… And the “you cannot unlock the entire tree”, so you need to choose what’s best for you. However, as written before, if I wanted to go bear, wolf, caster all at once, I should be viable… To kill stuff etc. But I don’t know much about the skilltree and how “locked” you are…

To keep it 100. I disagree with Deckard Cain dying. That should have never happened epically to such an insignificant character as Magdha. It made Deckard, A MEMBER of the Horadrim look weak. If we were able to bring back Zoltan Kull, we should also be able to bring back Deckard Cain. I have seen easter eggs stating “Deckard isn’t dead.” I hope it’s true. I would like to see Deckard back in Diablo. The imagined land of the moo moo is always a must. Maybe some back story on if the Paladins still exist. All we know if the crusaders came from the west while Paladins were in the east. What happened to the Amazon’s? What happened to the Assassins’? Where are they at now? Can Lilith Summon Baal? Andariel? Durial? Mephesto? IS the soul stone really destroyed? Can we fight these bosses again? Uber Diablo still is roaming the lands of D2. “SOJ has been sold to a vendor.” How is that happeneing? So much back story to tie into the story. I would LOVE to see all of it. Can we also have the abilty to add our Dex, Int, health, str, mana like D2 please. They are bringing back a skill tree which is WAY BETTER than runes in my opinion. What were runes? How did runes give us powers? Just so much. But bring back Deckard please.

I don’t like how you bargain for lower. In Diablo 2 we got TWO new characters in 1 expansion. If they want to do 2 expansions, 9 characters isn’t too much. In fact I think all the D2 classes plus the monk and witch doctor would be awesome. Some people want some new classes, I can understand that… but I would be perfectly happy with the same classes just sort of different… like soreress with enchantment system, barb with arsenal, druid with seamless shape shifting. Of course I want a better skill system than either game provided and so skills will be different to a certain extent.

I really hope they do good with this game and last update definitely looks good

That’s a good idea 2 characters with each expansion for a total of 4.
