Question of the day:
Is anyone actually still planning on playing Diablo 3 once Diablo 4 launches?
I haven’t planed anything, but if D4 is not my cup of tea I don’t see why not.
I’m not abbandoning any of the Diablo games.
Considering D4 is at least 2 years away, I’ll reserve judgement until after release. The real question is:
Have they learned anything from years’ worth of D3 mistakes, or how many years will we have to wait for D4 to become decently playable?
I will not buy D4 at launch.
I’ll wait for about ~2 months and then decide if the game and the servers are in a good enough state to buy it.
D4 = Years away = Aliens could invade by then = Why bother thinking about it
Doubtful. I mean I stopped playing D2 when D3 was released at that time. I think it will be the same for D3 when D4 is out unless D4 turned out to be very bad to play.
It really depends. Will I have upgraded to a computer that can run it properly by then and want to spend the $60ish on it instead of other stuff. Will it keep me engrossed for longer than just finish the campaign twice? I can see myself doing the campaign and then leaving for a while till endgame stuff is more fleshed out/explored by others.
Both games will cater to different player bases; that’s a marketing tactic.
I can’t see anyone loving Diablo 3 or Diablo 2, dropping it once Diablo 4 or Diablo Immortal releases. If I like the thrill of Diablo 3 or Diablo 2, I might not like what Diablo 4 offered by content nor satisfied with the approach of Diablo Immortal to the genre; which is fine. They supposed to capture different playerbases and there’s nothing wrong with it.
As I see it Diablo Immortal supposed to quench the thirst of Diablo 3 fans by being the ultimate arcade fun on mobile that you can bring anywhere, yet still enjoy on PC. Diablo 4 at the other hand supposed to bring both Diablo 2 and Diablo 3 fans together. It’s debatable that how successful they gonna be but I reckon they will be quite fascinating to dwelve into.
Diablo 3 VS “an enigma sitting at a waypoint many eons from you present location.”
D4 may never be released. That is more real than the thought it will.
no (20 characters lol)
If they keep having seasons regularly, I will continue playing D3. Otherwise, probably not…
i really Hope that all Diablwow 3 fan stay in Diablwow3 because that would mean that D4 is completely different which means it will be Good
Different doesn’t imply good.
yeah… but different that Absolutely Dogcrap has pretty high chances of being better
Being better than something awful still does not imply it being good.
Nope. There is no reason. Just like I saw no reason to play D1/D2 after beating them.
At the moment, I am not planning on playing D4. It will require couch co-op for one. If it doesn’t have that, it’s a non-start and hard pass.
I will very likely end playing D3 after season 25, but am not married to that.
Things change. I might have no better options. I might get bored and go back. And then get bored with it.
There really aren’t many games I like these days. So, in the end, I’ll probably stick to tabletop RPGs.
