D3 does not natively have controller support, so while it can be done from what I understand you can only get the controller to control the cursor, not the char directly, so it’s far from ideal.

You can (I’ve been doing it since 2012 or so), but I have to make sure you know that Diablo 3 doesn’t support controllers on PC. In other words, you’ll control your mouse cursor with your analog stick. If you’re ok with that, you just need :

  • SCPToolKit, so your computer sees your dualshock 3 as an XBOX 360 controller
  • JoyToKey, to make each controller button act as your chosen mouse movement / button / key.
