I guess I’ll get the troll party started. What a lame expansion underwhelming pitch at whats to come. Spiritborn is that the best they could think of for a new class gimme a break. Also the kicker it is not worth 40 dollars so quit pleasing the stockbrokers.
Note: The Diablo IV Expansion Bundle is only available to those who do NOT have the Diablo IV base game.
If you don’t have Diablo IV and you want to pre-purchase the Diablo IV Expansion Bundle for $69.99 USD, you’re essentially getting Diablo IV for $30.00 USD and the Vessel of Hatred Standard Edition for $39.99 USD. And, if you want, you should be able to upgrade to the VoH Deluxe for another $20 or the VoH Ultimate for an extra $50.
The VoH Expansion is being released Tuesday, 2024-10-08T04:00:00Z. So, you have until then to get the pre-purchase rewards.
My guess is that someone pondered what a martial artist class with a jungle voodoo theme would be like. TBH, it’s a reasonable attempt assuming that’s what the class is all about.
One of the things I liked about D3 was that they made an attempt to give us relatively new classes to play with despite the archetypes (e.g. spellcaster, ranged bow user, martial artist, summoner, etc) being repeated from past games. I didn’t like how D4 was a retread of older classes. Hopefully the Spiritborn is well received and encourages more new classes that are well thought out and also well implemented.
Well, it’s only $39.99 for the Expansion if you don’t need all the extra Cosmetics. (Some being for Diablo Immortal, which I don’t play). At least you get 1 Pet and a Legendary Gem.
Most of the negative posters have left the forum. We who still enjoy the game are either busy playing or taking it easy untill next season. Also, since the game is in maintenance mode there isn’t much to debate any longer.
True, but I guarantee whatever it is they’ve added to justify more than doubling the price isn’t worth it. It should all be stuff that can be obtained in game through a variety of ways instead. It’s just pure greed what they’re doing.
Yeah I get it. It was always going to happen it’s just natural progression and this game is pretty old now.
Though I will say the one individual who seemed to always be able to rile people up (won’t mention name) was pretty funny once you understood what they were doing. I would like to hope the people that would argue with him knew that and just wanted to have fun with it anyways. Maybe a couple people were legit bothered by him though.
It seems that is the direction that they are going in now. Instead of recycling the old class, they tried to innovate and create a new class.
At this moment, Diablo Immortal has released 2 new classes; a vampire that focuses on spear art, blood and bat skills, and tempest is basically an assassin/dancer that uses water and wind skills.
Now, it is Diablo 4’s turn to introduce an original class.
Yeah, it seems they will be more than followers in D3.
They supposedly will level with us and have their own skill tree.
Also, I’m eyeballing the “middle” version of D4: VoH. Just because it includes the Tiger mount. Many people already running around with the wings - they really don’t fit in D4 IMHO.
While I don’t disagree with you calling Blizzard greedy - because they are - my genuine question to you is why you think “fake class war” is somehow more virtuous than “fake culture war.”
Modern day currency is merely a numerical assessment of debt. And debt means nothing unless called in. Literally, you are paying your debts when you spend your money. And others are paying you their debts to you when they give you money.
It’s all debt, which has zero intrinsic worth. It’s a social arrangement, nothing more nor less.
To say something isn’t “worth” the asking price, is literally just you, making a subjective value judgment on something not being important enough to you to make you indebted to the owner and/or provider of that thing. You’re not making an objective statement to be upheld across the cosmos for time immemorial. You’re literally just prioritizing other things.
It’s definitely nothing to get enraged about, not even ostensibly so. Don’t like the asking price? Don’t buy the product. Simple as.
But apparently, to you at least, this hill is FAR more important than some geopol troll. I don’t understand your logic there.
Diablo Immortal Inspired Blizzard To Add A New Kind Of Class To Diablo 4
However, the devs behind the popular action-RPG know many of you want a Paladin class
Diablo IV’s first big DLC expansion, Vessel of Hatred , arrives on all platforms later this year. The upcoming DLC is adding not only a new region to explore and loot, but also a new class—the Spiritborn—never before seen in the franchise. And according to Blizzard, the decision to add a new class came after Diablo Immortal did so successfully.
I guess if DI failed to get approval from the players with Blood Knight, D4 would have to release the Paladin class for the next expansion.
