Diablo 3 Item Guide

Hi folks, been away from the D3 communiity for a while.

Does anyone know a good website that shows a comprehensive item guide for Diablo 3 showing items obtainable with their range of stats so we can see how good the gear is that we find?

I used to have links for websites for D3 items when I played. But they dont seem to work anymore.

If you want an “official” blizzard information site for items, then use this sublink from the D3 game guide:

If you want further strategy guides for how each item fits into a particular build, or undocumented details on specific items (e.g. legendary gems), then just go to maxroll.gg and the D3 section there.

Well, you can see that directly on the items themselves as the stat ranges are shown on them.

no individual gear is not all the same. The lows and highs of each range can vary, and can be the difference between a dud and a good find.

They are actually. Stat ranges are the same for every item of the same slot (assuming the same level), with ancients having higher values but the ranges of all of those of the same slot are still identical.

As for example, level 70 legendary helms will always have mainstat/vitality in the 626-750 range while ancient legendary helms will always have it in the 825-1000 range. Primals will always roll with the max value of ancients.

Legendary effects vary from effect to effect of course, but the ranges for a specific effect is always the same, and as I already said, you can see the ranges directly on the item to see if it rolled good or bad.

Hmm, maybe I’m wrong. I’ll have to do more research. For some reason i remember having to check my top gear to see if it’s stats were any good and how it would measure up against finding an item of the same quality/name.

In vanilla max level gear had different item levels, that has not been the case for a long long time though.

Check out the link to Echoing Fury;

See how the stats vary for each item? 2041.5 DPS would be a low level Echoing Fury, but 2535.3 DPS would be it’s max for Echoing Fury. Even the magic properties roll different ranges. Some better than others.

Is this no longer the case?

I think we might misunderstand each other. Yeah, two Echoing Fury usually will not have identical stats, but the ranges it CAN roll is always identical. As for your picture it shows the minimum and maximum stat it can roll for each stat there. Those are always the same for every Echoing Fury.

Thanks, the Blizzard Items link is great for Legendary items. But a little limited for info on Rares. And from what I remember, a lot of Rares were even better than Legendary items.
I’m still going through the maxroll site to see where I can find what I’m looking for. Thanks

Yeah, not anymore, legendaries are basically always better and easy enough to get so there’s really not any reason to pay any attention to anything below legendary unless you are after a specific type of rare to upgrade to legendary in the cube.

Ah thats good to know, and certainly will make things a lot simpler.

Yeah. It doesn’t take overly long before you just have to glance at an item to see if it’s something to keep or not.

Thanks Kargon, that keeps me better readied for a few weeks play on D3, before D4 release next month.

Maxroll.gg also has a pretty good Salvage Guide, listed under Resources>Tools.
While Legendaries are usually better than Rares, some Legendaries are junk and auto-salvage.
