Can you guys please have the website management team add the game guide back to the website. I have a bunch of links that no longer work and there is no way to get to those sections of the website from the top horizontal menu banner. Below are some examples of the broken links:
Wiz Active Skills ==> http://us.battle.net/d3/en/class/wizard/active/
Wizard Class Guide Main ==> http://us.battle.net/d3/en/class/wizard/
The item section where one can look up the various items by category is missing as well. I use the game guide section of the website. The web team has removed the game guide section in the past and I’ve had to make a post requesting that it be added back to the website.
Thanks. D3 Planner is a heavy page, while the official character planner is a light weight page without all of the excessive adverts. When only the skills/runes of a build need to be conveyed the official planner is a better choice.
Alas, @MissCheetah has abandoned us. The only Green that posts here regularly is @Leviathan.
Greens have little or no power to affect the game.
They don’t work for Blizzard but may have access to some channels that we do not.
Indeed. @Leviathan has done great work in response to the season ending abruptly issue. He and @PezRadar have done great work communications wise at least.
Heavy site versus light site. Yes, MR has non-static adverts and that is just part of the weight. There is a large load of scripts. The official calculators don’t carry the same load. If I’m sharing a link with another person, I can’t control what Browswer add-ons they run or don’t run. The blockers also take processing power and bandwidth so, they don’t come without a cost.
The what is Your problem and why do you have to harass me for no reason??
Provocation and mockery just because you dont like the factual answer based on average community feedback and logical thinking?
Want Longer answer??
I’ve never seen anyone even recommending any of those pages.
Because they were useless anyway…
Why would anyone even need a skill calc, when we level up to max in less than 40 minutes every season for a couple of years already.
Why would anyone even want skill calc at all when it is in the game for anyone to see in game, about the other things that was there, All of that was useless.
Pages that ARE relevant stayed, the official items wiki is good enough for me.
I guess pages with some “character building” rp were some flavor, but still… gone…
Thanks for noticing and reporting on forums some thing that nobody even cared about
Why so mad instantly at one simple statement
It was useless anyway
You make an assumption about the worth of the game guide’s content. You make an assumption that you speak for the entirety of the community. We both are not spokes persons for the community. You pretend to be a victim and that you were harassed. You make an assumption about the way/manner and time in which players level 1-70, but not everyone plays the way you do. You brought your negativity in the conversation without any consideration. I questioned you about your negativity. You assumed that my question was rooted in animosity. It was not. I made no mistakes. I made no errors. I committed no offenses. No one harassed you.
If you only care for parts of the game guide, then you could have quietly continued to do so without injecting your negative valuation of the entire game guide’s content. I’m not preventing you from enjoying the game. I paid for the game the same as you did. The game guide is connected to that purchase. I’ve used it and so do others, when they want to use it. The game guide is mostly a set of static pages, that takes up a tiny amount of storage on the web servers.
So, how about we take a few deep breaths and get back to having fun. If I find using the game guide part of that fun, why not be supportive of that? You don’t have to do everything I do, but you also don’t have to come into the thread and piss on the conversation.
Lastly, several other Blizzard games, that are in maintenance mode, still have the game guides on their respective websites. The full game guide should be left in place. As I responded to @Zurtle:
My request for the restoration of the full game guide still stands.
