Diablo 3 darkening of tristram Adventure mode ONLY?

Can´t it be played ina campaign? Because I´ve downloaded the game for this even t only. Because I just want to play thedarkening of tristram event. Isn´t it possible to play it without the adventure mode?

So you have no access to the adventure mode?

Just create a seasonal char. Season chars are able to start in adventure mode.

Thank you. It´s working.

That would have made it much more interesting, as a sort of Act 0: The Prelude. But, alas, no it is not available in Campaign (as far as I can tell which isn’t a good distance).

it would also make you around level 20 (normally) before you even finish the first quest.

id support it, to be honest. it would involve rewriting the story though, because a temporal event that big would definitely be noticed by cain and half of tristram.

What if it’s tied to the death of Cain? After Maghda kills Cain, a millita messenger comes and informs you that a strange portal opened in old Tristram. Or something like this. I’m not too good at comeing up whit things like these. Or after you kill Adria. That would make more sense.

After magda would make more sense, actually. it would be an interesting side trip.

I had blocked this from my memory. Thanks for ripping open the wound! :stuck_out_tongue:

I never asked for anything.

If the darkening of tristram event was put in the campaign, then I’d say the best place to put it would be at the end of Act 4 (after you kill Diablo), right before the player begins act 5. Of course, for that to work properly, the Realms of Fates would have to be available to Campaign mode.

Nope, because the black cultists are after Adrias notes after her death.

In this case the cultists wouldn’t be after just Adria’s notes, but also Adria herself. Even our characters were hunting down Adria before the events of RoS.

For anyone who does not know

Page 1

Word has come that Adria has fallen, slain by the nephalem Perhaps she has reunited with Maghda now, somewhere… There are few of us left who remember the power they once wielded–and the promises they made.

Page 2

One thing that is still clear to me–whatever is left of Adria belongs to us. It is vital that we recover her possessions before anyone else can reach them. As soon as the nephalem is gone, we shall make our move.

Page 3

It took time, but we have scoured every part of the Blood Marsh. We found most of what we expected, aside from Adria’s journals. Perhaps it is fitting that her innermost thoughts will remain a mystery to us.

Page 4

There is much that I do not understand within Adria’s runes and spellbooks, though I have pored over their every page. I never realized how far her knowledge of magic extended beyond my own. This will be a trying task.

Page 5

After hours of study, I grew weary of the pointless frustration and tossed Adria’s books aside. As I cursed to myself, I became aware of a faint whispering in the shadows… Something had heard my anguish, and it responded.

Page 6

I begged the voices in the shadows for a window into Adria’s memories. If I learn from her example, I may find a way forward for those of us who remain loyal. The nephalem destroyed our plans, but there could still be a chance…

Page 7

The shadows have answered me. Old Tristram will return to what it once was–but only for a short time. I have until then to uncover the rest of the witch’s secrets.

Yeah, but rather than having the cultists summon the portal via Adria’s memories, I was thinking the campaign mode variant would be caused by the Realm of Fates:

Realms of Fate: A Heavenly Consequence

The High Heavens are still reeling from the events of the Prime Evil’s assault. While the angelic host works to repair the damage from the atrocities that violated their sacred home, the Archangel of Fate, Itherael, has discovered a curious development in the far corners of his sanctified libraries.

The tomes and history stored within his libraries are changing the heavens themselves, transforming into small pockets reflecting the past, present, and potential futures. Though no one can make sense of why this has occurred, it still poses a threat to Sanctuary. Tyrael invites the nephalem to investigate, his faith in their skills, if not their hearts, still strong.

That said, since the event takes place in adventure mode, that simply means that the chronological placement of the event takes place after the campaign itself. Only saying that since the realm of fates became unstablized due to the battle between Diablo and the Nephalem, act 4 end would be the ideal spot to put the darkening of tristram, since it opened small pockets of past, present, and future if the darkeneing of tristram event is to be put in the campaign.

I hope D4 has a lot of events like this in the world. Give us things to do on a regular basis, flying across the screen gets old fast. Not everyone wants to be a speed racer. Some of us want to experience the journey.

You and me both. The open world aspect has a lot of potential to introduce us to content that’s rewarding and challenging, and lore that’s equally interesting and enjoyable. I hope they use it. It’ll be a shame if there’s little to do in the open world, and that we’re mostly expected to grind dungeons out, with little to no viable alternatives.
