Diablo 3, Console to PC. Using a controller

i play a range of Blizzard games on Console and PC. I played diablo 1 and diablo 2 on PC. Diablo 3 however I rocked on my Xbox console. I just recently bought the Diablo 2 Battle Chest for PC so i could play with my brother in law. problem is i am having a really hard time adjusting to no hand held controller. I’m considering getting a refund because it is not yet possible to use a controller at all on the PC version. i think making it possible to use a controller option instead of mouse and keyboard would make playing Diablo 3 PC version much more enjoyable for some gamers.

“We refund paid games or expansions within 14 days of purchase, as long as you haven’t played for more than two hours.”

D3 will be in maintenace mode after S29.

D3 has never had Controller Support and likely never will.

May as well try for a refund and move on.

yeah im not really sure what youre looking for here. Get a refund. Diablo 3 on the pc is an entirely different game then diablo 3 on console.

They have made the distinction that the game is a new build that will support controller since its technically not diablo 3, its diablo 3 on console, a “new” game. weird but thats how it works.

Not really weird. Diablo 3 was not intended to be played with controller, the console version required substantial rework to make that happen and was not released until almost a year and a half after the PC version.

Both D2R and D4 was designed around controller support from the start.

I wouldn’t say D2R was designed around controller support since it’s basically D2. They just slapped some controller support into D2 and kinda made it work (though it’s still very suboptimal)

D2R was intended to have controller support from the start. Sure, it’s still a remake of a game that did not, but the remaster was always intended to be able to be played with controller regardless of platform.

I guess I mean that it’s not really a remake. Mechanically speaking, it’s just D2. So it’s more like adapting controller support in a game that really isn’t meant to have it (and it shows in many ways)
