Diablo 2 andariel bug

Did they fix it? people should not get more loot because of bug.

Since Andy and Baal can both be quest dropped via glitch/exploit/bug, they ought to just make boss quest drops their normal drops all of the time. Presto, no longer a bug, not that much better drops either. No one except the faster killer gets an advantage.

Actually agreed. I broke so many farming toons by forgetting and hitting Cain after Andy.

Except Duriel, keep that little f’er to TP scrolls all day lol

I really like that bug, but what you said is the same as allowing everyone to use players 8 on battlenet in my opinion, it makes it a lot easier to get certain drops

people said it was fixed in the open beta no official word from blizzard though.

I thought during one of the Q&A’s they said there were going to leave certain things in that weren’t hurting the game, but were beneficial. I even specifically remember them mentioning bugging Andy. I’ll have to see if I can find it to make sure I’m not going crazy.

/players 8 gives far more benefit for drops from regular monsters compared to bosses, champ/unique packs.

They did but they might have changed course with this statement we do not yet know

It’s the same, just global

no , like not at all xD
/players 8 gives TON more items rarity /exp and make HR crazy easy to get.
Whereas andy glitch , the thing is , most probably 90% people already has andy glitch considering to do it you just need to go to act 2 before disconnecting…so yeah , i think most people already got the andy glitch without even knowing of said glitch and it doesn’t increase the overall loot much.

You do realize that /players # has no effect on the drops of champion/unique/super unique packs, right?

https://diablo2.diablowiki.net/Player_Settings

  • For normal monsters: The more players, the more drops.
  • For Super Uniques (like Pindleskin), Uniques and Champions: player setting is irrelevant.
    • Super Uniques will always drop two items.
    • Uniques will always drop one item.
    • Champions will always drop one item.
  • Bosses: “nodrop” will be reduced to zero for 5 unpartied players or 3 near players in the same party. In Single Player the difference between the drops for 3 player setting and 5 player setting is only marginal though.

You don’t need to go to act 2.

oh ? thought it was simply “just go to act 2 before disconnecting”.
which does work.
but maybe there’s something more specific to it ? (like not talking to a specific npc )
i usually go straight to act 2

You just need to talk to Warriv before leaving the game, that’s it.

Point is not if it’s already a thing, I like that bug and would like to keep it as well, just what jedi said is to make all bosses drop quest bug on every kill in D2R is the same thing as allowing you to do players 8 on the basis of it changing the loot table odds significantly for certain high demands items, I would love to farm demon limb or stormlash that way would be amazing, but it’s the same concept as players 8 on battlenet you get more drops or better drops because of it

IMO needs to stay in game to farm her on NM for SOJs if they are keeping Dclone spawn the same.

I dunno. Stormshield drop chance from Baal is about 1:900ish with 400MF. Quest drop is 1:600. That’s a pretty large difference honestly. I’d prefer the glitch be fixed entirely.

ah ok :stuck_out_tongue:
pretty much the same thing in the end since you use warriv to go to act 2 , but even easier then.

personally i don’t really care that much if this bug stays or not.
that being said , he didn’t state all bosses , but simply Andy (and baal eventually)
which does have a point : a character that was intended for farming and that disconnected before talking to warriv will be crippled for life in term of andy farming.
Which can be frustrating for players.
Hence why personally i wouldn’t mind to either see it become standarized or deleted , either of those to avoid people not knowing said bug to get frustrated over it.

That being said , it does not compare at all to P8 , in term of exp , uniques , runes etc…
here it’s one boss : andy , p8 increase it for the whole game and make LK chest run a thing.
so i wouldn’t call it comparable at all.

Lol this guy’s hilarious btw…he says “we don’t even know if it works” guy must be new to D2.

It very much works, lol, and his been known for a very long time. It can be tested after to make sure, even.

They could settle for the middle ground, or even a bit towards the non-quest drop rates.

I usually get garbage on my first quest drop anyway. :man_shrugging:

The drop tables are set server side and they are very easy to adjust.

I’d be fine with something that keeps the odds higher, for sure. Just not quest drop chances. I find quest drops make items drop far too easily. Ultimately, I feel it should just be fixed entirely, but if they go with a middle ground by chance, definitely needs to keep drop rates on the higher end.
