Wow this is incredible.
In some ways this is more in line with what I was hoping a D2 remaster would look like. I guess what we’re getting is technically more in line with a remake.
I do like the updated D2R visuals and probably a full remake of the visuals is better long term since we’ve been looking at the same old visuals for so long. Something new and fresh will be really great. But yeah I feel like this fan’s re-creation is equivalent to what the Starcraft Remastered team would have come up with in the early alpha stages.

He is recording the gameplay as is and then after uses AI to make it HD.

— wish this was a mod. Unfortunately it isn’t, otherwise I would definitively want to play it! If you know a mod that somehow brings true 60fps to D2 (without any animation speedup), please let us know in the comments.
— The main goal of my video(s) was to create a more modern restoration of the original gameplay and intro (being as close to original as possible), that would be easier for the eyes to watch and ears to listen, for my friend, who had never played Diablo II before back in the days.

Okay that makes sense. To remake this playable in full 60fps/4k would require a crazy amount of technical acumen.
