I realize it’s in beta, but wow. The UI is really bad and mouse controls are horrific. It’s a “mobile” game, sure, but we all know people are mostly going to play on PC.
The store is hilarious. I’ve spent $1 so far on an eXcLuSiVe treasure chest and looking at all the other items you can buy, it makes me depressed. If this is the future of gaming, I want off this ride.
Also the zones are empty of mobs. Is this an ARPG or a run around like an ***hole in your $25 armor set game? The core gameplay is decent. But, this is Blizzard. I expected way more.
Dude f2p mobile gemes are like this since games appeard in the app stores. If you think every other game is going to be like this from this point on, you’re… I don’t even know what to say, just don’t be like this. Okay? Don’t predict the future based on a f2p mobile game.
The spawn rate on bounties was an issue yesterday, but today I found plenty to complete them quickly. So maybe they fixed it?
This is currently a work in progress. Remember you can use WASD to move as well as a controller on PC.
I actually like the gameplay and story so far. The art is great because Blizz is really good at that.
I have not spent a dime, and don’t plan to. I knew what I was getting into playing a Mobile F2P… so plan to take my time. Nothing seems to be really gated behind paid cooldowns thankfully. I can do everything, I just have a lower drop rate on mats than if I buy extra dungeon chances.
Fine with me. My pocket moths and I are taking it slow and casual like normal. I like it… and I did not expect to. I am not totally over my Blizzcon anger about it, but the did put it on PC and I can play without money.
well what did people expect? i mean if it hadnt been due to the huge negative response the mobile version was getting they wouldve even considered a PC port Blizzard still thinks the general players asked for this game they cant even understand that we wanted Diablo not some reskinned version of PoE with Blizzards logo on it
the PC port is basically another one of Blizzards “pull the ripcord” moments becasue their first plan didnt meet the level of acceptance they anticipated
The game is beautifull and all, but to be totally honesty, the mandatory Guide Quests where we have to party with other 7 players and the lack of multistance bummed me out… I was eager to give it a try, but the bunch of people running around killing monsters in the same instance is atrocious.
Actually, unless they changed it, daily quests, many of which can only be obtained through an MTX purchase, are a pretty in your face form of gating with regard to paying vs. free players.
Right now I think the biggest and very legitimate complaint is just how aggressive D:I seems to be on the in-game MTX advertising. Your dungeon reward is an…MTX bundle! That sort of thing. The MTX push is in your face to such a gross extent as to be offputting to a lot of players. It really does push those OCD/addiction buttons really hard. I thought Angry Birds was annoying after popping up in-game ads for “power ups” after me failing levels repeatedly by trying to do them without any such purchases, but everything I’ve seen so far for D:I’s MTX push is in an entirely differen’t galaxy. Not even PoE ever went this far with their MTX push.
I’m afraid I’m going to have to agree with Slootbag on this one, and I rarely agree much with any streamer. And situations like this are going to be very common because of the way the game makes you think it is a “one time and one time only, like, right NOW only” type of purchase since it does not tell you the “reward” remains in your shop until you purchase it (think about that for a minute as well - purchasing a reward - that’s one hell of a scummy tactic right there).
The game runs very nicely on my PC, Ryzen 7 3700x, RTX 3080, 128GB RAM, 165hz ASUS TUF Gaming Nvidia Gsync 1440p 27 inch Monitor with HDR.
Honestly, Blizz did a good job with this game on PC, yes it needs some polishing but the game is fully playable on PC and graphics are 100000x better than Diablo 3, I was pretty satisfied.
A character zoom in and zoom out feature would be cool though, but not a big issue.
My biggest complaint, so far. Game tells me 'Open door…" etc. There’s the pointer showing it’s gear shape, there’s the thing to interact with, etc…and IT WILL NOT work. No matter how many times you click, all around the target - nothing. I play a DH, standing in front of a door, trying to open it and only way to get it to work is do a little Strafe move, THEN it works. Somewhat aggravating.
Would also help if other players would stop insisting on standing on top of the NPC you are trying to interact with.
I found it almost exactly the same as D3 keys 1-4 and fifth available after a certain point and mouse control (or the WASD).
My only non-user-friendly comment is in the click areas, items and portals you sometimes have to click on you have be in a specific position. They could be more user-friendly. Getting that gear to show to click it is a little too precise.
This is a bug. For some reason the game locks interaction controls sometimes. It can be a door, an NPC, etc. Solution is using a skill like multishot or strafe an that seems to fix it.
Blizz has been told about the bug by a bunch of us.
Wrong. If it weren’t for the large amount of people who discussed emulating the game we wouldn’t have a PC client. If it were the negative feedback it would have been anno7nced for PC years ago with a proper PC testing period before release.
LOL, what’s wrong with POE? It’s way better than Diab3&DI by a big margin. Both in gear variety/customization, Skill-tree/Paragon and endgame variation POE is vastly superior to everything Diablo has to offer.
Hopefully Diablo4 would borrow a couple of POE ideas for it’s own sake.
It’s ironic that POE was built from the Diablo2 foundation with just adding a couple of genial ideas (gems and SUPORT GEMS, linked sockets, Skill tree etc).
