Before I get started, I am on the Nonseason Americas server.
So, I made a thread about this over on the DH forums, but I spent so much time talking about my eccentric Ashaera’s Marauder Support build that discussion got so focused around that, that we didn’t much talk about actually getting groups together to play. Plus, I’ll hopefully have a wider variety of people to talk to here in this section of the forum.
I can play with people of any level. If you’re doing anything higher than GR125 then I’ll only be using support builds, as I am only Paragon1500 and the best I manage is reliable Solo 118’s in 9-11 minutes. That is fine, because my specialty is Support. Here is my current best support build:
2PC Unhallowed + 4PC GoD(160% ms) + OZR = near-100% Smokescreen Displacement(100% ms)+TacticalAdvantage(60%ms) Uptime + Hot Pursuit(20% ms)= Fast enough to stay well ahead of even fast teammates, to prepare rooms full of mobs in advance with enough time to pull them together and entangle them. Also makes me invincible nearly 100% of the time.
Leonine Bow + Emimei’s Duffel + Bola - Freezing Strike (3 bola shots in different directions per attack) + 4PC GoD + 2PC Unhallowed = Infinite Discipline(&Hatred) + Incredible pulling ability. I manually alternate between Bola and Entangling Shot, no Macro, so I can actually stop pulling when somebody else has it handled so as to not get in the way of their own pulling, such as a Rage Flip Barb, and start pulling when I’m ahead of the team.
Above + Strongarm Bracers = All pulled enemies taking +30% Damage.
No 2PC Marauder = No army of pets preventing enemies from following me. If I am the only puller on the team, I can even swap my wolf out for Valley of Death in order to further enhance my distance pulling ability.
Odyssey’s End + Entangling Heavy Burden + 4PC GoD = All enemies taking +150% damage.
Multishot Chilling Wind + Iceblink + Toxin = Fire once to cause nearly everything on the screen to receive 10% more damage and be 18% more likely to be crit hit.
Toxin + Boar + Numbing Traps = 25% + 10% reduciton to enemy damage and 20% Allres and 10k Life Regen for allies.
Wolf Companion + OZR = 100% uptime of +15% DMG for allies.
Oculus Ring = +80% Damage to Allies inside radius, typically helping allies 15-30% of the time by random or 50-80% of the time if they make effort to take advantage of it.
Nemesis Bracers = More Champions to Kill
Flavor of Time = Conduits last 2x Longer, even zDPS can kill with conduits.
The result of this build is one that highly increases ally damage, pulls entire screens full of mobs together very quickly, significantly increases ally survivability, and can move at Low-GR Speedrun-like speeds while still being tough enough to survive high GRs. That is the build I will use if you need the best teammate you can possibly get.
If you’re looking for something a bit more outside-the-box, I’ve got some other interesting builds.
Tired of meta teams full of zDPS supporting one damage player? Want to try a team where every player is a DPS but still have support contributing to the team effort? I’ve got a DPS build that is still full of support for allies. This build supports the team with Leonine Bolas, Odyssey Entangles, Oculus Ring, Boar, and Numbing Traps, while still having enough damage output to solo GR110 reliably as a para1500. If you’re tired of the typical meta teams and want to try something different, let’s get a team of DPS+Support Hybrids together and see how it goes.
I’ve also got an Ashaera support build that calls followers into combat during multiplayer to support allies with even more buffs. This is the build I’m most proud of, but there are many aspects of it that might be disabled and not work. The only thing I know for sure is that it does call my followers out in multiplayer and I can see them active while no one else see them.
I’m not as bad as I look, really. Stop walking away!
