DH new set bugs

2-Piece Bonus
"Gain a Momentum stack when attacking with a Primary skill. Each Momentum stack lasts 2 seconds at a maximum duration of 10 seconds. Your Primary skills deal 10% more damage per stack of Momentum."

Bugs:

  1. Each time you hit, you gain 2 stack and every stack only last 1 second.
  2. When alternating strafe and primary skill, the primary skill can not consistently gain stack.
  3. When you have multiple primary skill, every time you hit with a different primary skill the existing stack immediately gone.

4-Piece Bonus
"Casting Strafe against enemies will automatically shoot your last used primary skill, and also give 60% damage reduction while strafing and for 5 seconds after. While casting Strafe, you move faster per stack of Momentum."
I referred the video Introducing the GoD DH - Gameplay & Feedback (New DH Set for Season 21) - YouTube for this one
Bugs
4: When equip Ninth Cirri Satchel, the triggered Hungering Arrow doesn’t pierce.
5: The primary skill can not be triggered 4 times constantly for every strafe.

In general the new set is basically useless, because the UE primary skill build is a obvious better option. After all these bugs get fixed, the new set should be able to sustain at least 20 stack momentum to be comparable to the UE primary build.

This needs more attention.

It is super important to me that the generators fired from Strafe behave exactly like they would if I had manually fired them.
This includes generating resource without hitting a target, runed spell effects, gems, healing, area damage, and items that boost damage.

The 4 set bugs are definitely concerning (especially with ninth cirri), but I’m not sure the 2 set can be quantified fully as a bug yet given how awkwardly the bonus is worded. Functionally it seems that there is only 1 stack of momentum, and the “stack counter” on your primary is actually just the timer, with new manually-cast primaries adding 2 seconds up to the max of 10.
The mention of weaving primaries in doesn’t consistently grant stacks may be bugged, however, as the wording is “attacking with” but the stacks are granted when the primary skill hits its first target. The third point also seems either bugged or just incorrectly implemented, as the momentum buff belongs to a primary skill instead of to the player.

Edit: The wording on the 2 set isn’t exactly as in OP, it’s
“Gain a Momentum stack when attacking with a Primary skill. Each Momentum stack lasts 2 seconds at a maximum duration of 10 seconds. Your Primary skills deal 10% more damage per second of Momentum.”, not per stack

I think the 3 bug below should be the highest priority. As soon as they get fixed, the new set will be no worse than the UE primary build

1.When alternating strafe and primary skill, the primary skill can not consistently gain stack.

2.When equip Ninth Cirri Satchel, the Hungering Arrow triggered by strafe doesn’t pierce.

The rest 2 bugs ( or problem) are about to perfect this set, and let it be comparable to other class, however if they can not fix in this season. I can accept
it.

  1. Each time you hit, you gain 2 stack and every stack only last 1 second.
  2. When you have multiple primary skill, every time you hit with a different primary skill the existing stack immediately gone.

I have not had issues with Hungering Arrow not piercing, can you tell me what weapons you have equipped, what’s in your cube, and what rune you are using on Hungering Arrow so I can try to replicate this bug ?

Procs can’t proc procs

It is the Hungering Arrow triggered by 4pc strafe. It pierce when I shoot it myself. I was equipting Ninth Cirri Satchel.

So just the primaries spawned via strafe are not piercing for you?

Yes. I am pretty positive about that.

I’m getting them to pierce using Shatter Shot rune. Maybe you are letting momentum stacks fall off? Strafe does not fire your primary ability unless you have at least 1 momentum stack.

I think we should draw the line after one proc instead, especially for sets like this.
That area damage should not proc further area damage is only reasonable - that these generator shots are weak is not.

Mod Edit: Removed inappropriate language from post.

I tested it when 1 momentum stack is on. Check the video here same thing.

Test it on single target. The Hungary Arrow is supposed to TURN BACK when piercing. It’s not happening.

Maybe you found the bug where it requires 2 momentum stacks and not 1. I can tell you strafe fires primary with momentum otherwise.

I’m just going to wait until next week to see what Blizzard does to change it. No sense in continuing to play an undertuned build.

Except that they can, sometimes. The Belt of the Trove proc procs the Invoker 4set proc, for instance. It’s mostly true, but not an absolute rule.

Here, the primary fired by the 4set while strafing procs some things but not others. Wraps of Clarity are procced, but F&R are not. If it’s a rule, neither should happen. If they can pick and choose which procs are procced, however, they can choose differently.

The set description says, “Casting Strafe against enemies will automatically shoot your last used primary skill…” It’s reasonable for the reader to expect that to mean what it says, rather than “Strafe will do some, but not all, of what your last primary skill does…”
