Hello, hopefully it’s a good page for this topic, sorry if not, first time using forum.

So I’m playing this class for 2175 hours and I have noticed that this character has a lot of possibilities for various builds, but unfortunately they are really weak. My battle.net: AlexbosS#2181 (Europe) if anyone wants to check.

  1. First idea.
    For example Embodiment of the Marauder
  • Companion summons all six types of animals at once (2 pieces)
  • Damage of each Sentry increases by +400%, and they will shoot one of the Hatred spender skills currently equipped by the Demon Hunter Elemental Arrow, Cluster Arrow, Multishot, Impale or Chakram, fully benefiting from runes and enhancements, every time the Demon Hunter uses them (4 pieces)
  • Your primary skills, Elemental Arrow, Chakram, Impale, Multishot, Cluster Arrow, Companions, and Vegeance deal 9500% increased damage for every active Sentry (6 pieces)

Before nerf the set gave 12000% increased damage for every active Sentry
I think the nerf wasn’t needed and it would be much better to just nerf the Cluster Arrow cuz i guess it was the only one reason to nerf that set.
For example by delete the current buff from Bombardier’s Rucksack (150% - 200% bonus damage to Cluster Arrrow)
and maybe move the property “Increases Damage by 75% - 100%.” to the passive of the item so this could be like:
“You may have 2 additional Sentries and increase their damage by 75% - 100%.”

And my idea is to buff other skills such a Elemental Arrow + Chakram cuz there is possiblity to create very cool builds but they just don’t deal enough damage to be usefull at the higher greater rifts. To make Maruder’s Set to have more varierty instead of just Cluster Arrow + Multishot which has different set already - Unhallowed Essence. For example:
“Elemental Arrow - Frost Arrow rune build”
and
“Charkam - Twin Chakrams rune build”

The Kridershot give passive “Elemental Arrow now generates 3 - 4” what if rework this passive and for example give like a another 200%-250% to deal damage same as Augustine’s Panacea.
And simillar thing with Chakram Skill and Spines Of Seething Hatred. "Chakram now generates 3 - 4 hatred. This item could get rework and increase damage of the Chakram.

  1. Second idea.
    Meanwhile mentioning about Unhallowed Essence set I thought to give him some kind of buff beacause it’s kinda weird to me that i have perfect set
    Perfect by meaning that i have all of the important stats as “cdr’s”, “area damage”, Primal bow + quiver every Ancient item and every item with Caldesann’s Despair (125 rank. Max grift i can make is a 135 and yea i understand that Paragons give a lot (mine is 1900 curently) but still.
    So my idea was to add second passive to one of the Multishot items Yang’s Recurve or Dead Man’s Legacy.
    “Mulitshot gains the effect of the Full Broadside rune”
    So the skill could deal a bit more damage and it would work with Arsenal rune.

  2. Third idea.
    Add second passive to one of the Sin Seekers “Rapid Fire gains the effect of the High Velocity rune but with 100%.”
    Something like with The Ninth Cirri Satchel quiver “Hungering Arrow is guaranteed to pirece”
    So it could be something like
    " Rapid Fire no longer has a channeling cost and deals 250% - 300% increased damage and is guaranteed to pirece"
    So the “No Six Piece Set” DH could have different way to play instead of with only grenades.

Sorry if this is hard to understand / read, i wanted to give some links/screenshots, but it says that i can’t so unfortunate also sorry for my english i guess it’s not perfect.

Multishot was just slightly less damage so a nerf to Cluster Arrow would’ve still left Multishot as an outlier.

I believe those skills are dead in the water because the skills weren’t designed very well and are server killers. Maybe less of a problem with a smaller player base but this game’s in maintenance mode for the future.

As someone who wrecked their wrist playing Rapid Fire - wretched playstyle - I am happy to let that skill die a death behind the 4 really good set options DH has now.

But great you’re putting these ideas out there. Maybe someone will have to make their own D3 clone one day to relive the nostalgia and also get those amazing builds out there never got a chance. You could call of Patch of Exhale or similar.

Not sure, i think both skills would be fine if UE set would get little buff and Maruder would have 12000% again, just without the Cluster Arrow damage buff on this quiver.

Yea maybe it makes sense but meanwhile I was playing I didn’t notice any issues or server killing, just the weak of the damage so idk.

Personaly i would really like to play Rapid Fire, this skill is so iconic for me, but i would rather try that way I mentioned.

And thanks, well i kinda wish that someone will check those ideas and maybe put on PTR, but i kinda deny that this will ever happen. Would be so cool to play with Frost Arrow for example, on higher grs than 115.

Shadow set should have bonuses on 6 piece for not only impale, but chakram and FoK. Easy to do.
