DH Build mistake

Good day everyone.
Before I start I have to say I am new to Diablo 3.

I have couples of problem here or I am doing something wrong with the build.

Most build I see in GOD, people use the set and most use Focus, and Restrain for ring.
The rings are good ,but in my case for some reasons when I use the rings mu damage goes from 800,000 down to 450,000.
What am I doing wrong here?

Second concern, is in the cube how do I put the 3 pieces gear I need to help my DH.
Am I forgetting something or am I doing something wrong again?

The Focus & Restraint rings you have may not have rolled with CHC or CHD which could explain the sheet damage drop.

The second concern, firstly you need to extract the necessary powers. Select the first recipe, put the item with the power you want to extract in the cube, press the “Fill” button, then press the “Extract”. To activate the extracted power, open the appropriate submenu for the extracted powers and select the correct one.

One thing is the stats on the rings, that can be rerolled at the Mystic, another thing is the multiplicative damage buff from them, when they are active (225%… edit: see post below :slight_smile: ), which doesn’t show on your sheet damage.

Actually it’s 125% combined. A flat 2.25x multiplier.

Also, make sure you stutter strafe with hungering arrow, ever 4-5 seconds to get both effects on the rings. keep in mind, you have to hit something with each ability to reset the buff.

What rings did you use instead of F+R?

Right now I use Elusive, and Bull-Katos

The Bul-Kathos ring always seems to have nice Crit Hit Chance/Crit Hit Damage on it. That might be what you are seeing, moving to the focus and restraint. Elusive definitely helps keep you alive, but unless you are playing Hardcore, not a big deal. You will definitely do more damage with F+R, if you can keep both buffs up.

That Bul-Kathos ring is also Ancient with extra Dex and CHD.
However, in addition to what was said above, the F&R rings usually come with sockets and having Legendary Gems in all 3 jewelry slots is a BIG plus.

i HAVE A FEW LEGENDARY gems that I upgraded to level 40 and 50. Which I did not use yet.

I imported your profile into D3 planner

Cube should be:

  • Weapon: Ninth Cirri Satchel
  • Armor: Depth Diggers
  • Jewelry: Ring of Royal Grandeur (if using Aughild’s or Guardian’s sets) otherwise Convention of Elements for the damage boost or Elusive Ring if still too squishy. (thanks to Kirottu for pointing out I wasn’t explicit enough)

Also, you need the gems in your rings and amulet; specifically Simplicity, Taeguk, and Bane of the Trapped or Zei’s (depending on your playstyle).

I hope you leveled up good gems and not things like Wreath of Lightning, Mirinae, and Moratorium, etc.
At least half of the Legendary Gems are pretty worthless, except to use for Augments later on.

Nope, GoD build does not need RoRG. The jewelry slot should be either Elusive Ring for toughness or Convention of Elements for damage.

My best advice is to look at Maxroll demon-hunter Guide, Look at DH builds on You-Tube, and join a Clan as they can assist you, in real time.

I did level Taeguk and Bane of trapped to level 50, as for Simplicity it is level 18 right now.

I meant to qualify that with an “If you’re using Aughild’s or Guardian’s”. I was in a bit of a rush at the time. My bad.
