Letting us keep the 4rth cube slot forever, this will add to more variety in the builds instead of keep repeating the same builds over and over again.

- It will still repeat the same builds, only now builds with a 4th cube slots.
- The classes and sets are balanced around non-season. 4th cube slots adds way more to some builds, close to nothing to others. It’ll throw balance off, which will DECREASE variety, because there will be a bigger difference between the the best and the worst builds, which means everyone will have a bigger reason to play the strongest class, which would be necro.

This season is a repeat of S22, and they haven’t made such change about years ago. I believe thread will be fun to read though. 
I imagine there will be so many people would complain about their favorite build lacking power, so such change is “justified” or should be taken as a “Quality of Life” even if it means to ramp up the power of Necromancers.

We haven’t had a “let’s make theme XXX permanent” - thread for a while.
It’s always the same. People think it adds more build diversity and try use that as an excuse. In reality the effect is often the opposite, it reduces diversity. The true reason why people want the theme permanent is because they are intoxicated from the power gained from it and don’t think at all about the ramifications of what it would actually do.

I mean, you’re not wrong. But at the same time, I’m wondering just how tenable it really is on Blizz’s part to sustain D3 into foreseeable perpetuity. This game can’t possibly be making them any non-trivial amount of revenue for this fiscal year and it’s only going to get worse as time goes on; D2 didn’t re-surge into mass-market popularity when D3 got off to its multi-year rocky start, and D3 hasn’t done that either in the wake of D4’s rocky start. And for what it’s worth, D4 ain’t even close to terrible anymore - I’m finding myself splitting my time between 3 and 4 these days. They’re neck and neck for me.
I know they still have D2 servers up, but the bandwidth on those must be pennies on the dollar. D3, I’m unconvinced is as cheap for them. I’m curious if there might not be cause, fiscally on Blizz’s end if nothing else, for them to just make this game Single Player Offline and give us ALL the seasons. Selector-style. I start up and I choose which one(s) are active.

What you meant by this is correct, the S33 theme is from S22.However everything other than the theme is a repeat of S21.
That’s a big NO for me. Necros benefit more by the 4th slot than any other class. Some classes get relatively nothing by the 4th slot.
