So one of my favorite builds to play is Sweep Attack Crusader. But one thing that has always annoyed me is the fact that fighting bosses is really annoying with how the shield Denial works.
I think changing the shield from -
Each enemy hit by your sweep attack increases the damage of your next Sweep Attack by 100-125%, stacking up to 5 times.
Too - Each enemy hit by your sweep attack increases the damage of sweep attack by 100-125%, for the next 8 seconds, stacking 5 times.
I think this change would help the build with fighting bosses. No damage buff needed just changing the part where you need to have other mobs around to get the most out of your damage. Or you could change it to where bosses give max stacks either buff would work really. I just want to be able to fight bountie bosses/rift bosses without needing the help of other players.

Sweep doesn’t really need single target damage, it needs overall damage, which means both single and multi target damage.
It can kill a boss in 3 minutes in push tiers, which is fine. The problem is that the push tier is low, 135 max in non season.
I’ll take a very extreme case : imagine denial would also read “you one shot bosses”. How high would sweep attack push, instead of 135 ? Barely above 140, at best. Meanwhile, shotgun does 145+ push, and A6I2 does 150 push.
You are pretty much asking for a static 500-625%. It would make the boss fight better, but it’ll lose it’s characteristic of excelling on trash.
Rolands is weak in general, so maybe just reduce the stacks while giving it a buff:
400-500% per stack up to 3 stacks.
I don’t really mind the fact that Sweep Attack pushes up to 135 (Also WOW that’s higher than I thought it would push lol) I am fine as long as I am having fun and like my build.
A buff to Rolands has happened before and I am not going to argue if they do another. But every time I have to go fight a boss like maltheal T16 it takes me so long to kill him because I have nerfed damage with only getting 1 stack of denial every other attack.
And changing denial to a static buff while I wouldn’t truly mind that I just like the idea of the having to stack it up and then having to keep attacking like Rolands to keep the buff. It would stay in the theme with the super fast attack speed that you get with Rolands.
I truly like having to roll out of the way of attacks because I know I can get one shot by some bosses with Rolands.
Yes I play on Console PC broke and don’t have the money to fix, also found out I genuinely like Diablo on controller don’t have to click to move and I get to roll. I find it funny how the roll has made combat feel way different and IMO a little better.
