Well, let’s think for a moment.
Soul shards are a season theme. Season themes never lasted after a season end, unless expressly stated that it was a permanent system which only happened with the followr rework so far.
You do the math.

It was made very clear in many, many places that ethereals would not transfer to non-season.
It has been made very clear that soul shards will not transfer to non-season.
The season preview blogs, read them!! Blizzard posts them for a frigging reason.

Feels like a troll to me. The blog says it, it’s common sense and it’s been posted about already as a joke and seriously. If they can’t spend the time to read the titles for 1-2 mins, then they should simply be reported.

NO, YOU CANNOT KEEP THEM IS THAT CLEAR? NO, YOU CANNOT KEEP THEM.
. Lastly, Soul Shards and Hellforge Embers only drop in Seasonal play, and will not transfer to your non-seasonal character when the season ends.

The players on the forum say no.
The people in the game chat say no.
But, all I want to know is… can we keep them. Hopefully there is someone to answer this question.

For me, its too bad they couldn’t allow items like Ethereals and Shards roll over to non-season, but have them disabled. Like the old crafting materials that we still sometimes get that you can’t do anything with but sell them.
If nothing else, so that you could have more things to fill your stash with. LOL
I actually still have some rift fragments and various other oddities that have long since been removed from the game.
