If you let something this stupid deprive you of the experience of playing an entire game, then I for one am glad to see the back of you early on.

One of the more ridiculous reasons I’ve seen to date on why not to buy a game.
But then again I know your just gaming the forum to get what ever crazy responses come along. It’s kinda like a forum mini game, a social experiment of sorts.

They already said that it was the Triune that brought Lilith back.

Think not in terms of good vs bad. This world is ruled by the Prince of Darkness; a reality established by a higher level of existence.

Simply, kill what needs to be killed according to the factors/elements that may relate, and question not the pot maker.

People play games for different reasons.

Some play for the gameplay.

Some for the competition.

Some for the story.

I usually put story above gameplay. However, the gameplay is more important to me than the story in ARPGs. In this case, I am waiting to see what the gameplay turns into by release to see if I will not play it or not. With what I have seen already, I am unlikely to play it.

That said, the story and what it means is fair game to not play a game. If you want to see a great story told, look into The First Tree or Journey. Neither one is super interesting in their gameplay, but amazing in the story told, even if one only tells it through you journey.

As one side note, I have played games because of their amazing music, but those are super rare. Of all things, Katamari Damashi is a perfect example of that. The gameplay is fun, but the music works so well with the weak story and frustrating gameplay, that I excuse those faults and hope that We Love Katamari us remade as well.

With the announcement that D4 will have:

non-linear story

I am hoping for both endings to be possible.

I also hope that “how the story plays out” isn’t mentioned either.

me neither if it lacks offline mode:point_up::point_up::point_up:

Start looking for another game.

Angela Del Priore responded to a question about being able to play offline, and Del Priore stated…

“We are not going to support an offline mode. But as I said before, nothing in DIablo 4 is going to require partying up. You can play solo and dungeons are private. Campain quest areas will [also] remain private.”

Thank you for sharing. We all care very much about what games you are going to buy.

You know absolutely nothing about the story. But if you wish to be ignorant and make a buying decision on what you think will happen instead of what actually is. That’s all on you, not on Blizzard. But I’m sure they will miss your $60.

It will exist regardless.

Honestly if they could actually pull off the whole idea of Rathma thinking it’s in Sanctuary’s best interest to bring Lilith back and being more of the trope of the “well intentioned villain” that could be interesting to see play out.

At least more interesting than “Diablo has come back yet again because he had another plan to counter-act being defeated in the last game!” that has played out several times now.

It’s a Diablo game so I assume that’s still going to happen so we can get the series’ namesake as the final boss again, but it’d be interesting to get a story that isn’t just that again.

Another really good reason I can think of…

Players will abuse the report system on Diablo 4 to get you suspended so you aren’t able to play the game for a week or two

If it’s Rathma then you should hope to farm him for nice necro stuff.

Buckles is one petty, toxic player with a toxic opinion.

What if Rathma was somehow corrupted by evil? And in order to save him, you have to kill him and let him be reborn again?
