We can all agree we all want a way to convert all those Death’s Breaths into other materials or whatever of use.
Please Blizzard D3 Team give us a Canai’s Cube receipt (or whatever) to do so…

Yeah, that wouldn’t hurt, I currently sit at about 40k DB:s and about 1500 each of the other mats.
Seasonal, my non seasonal count went of the charts, literally…
Agreed! Need more recipes using Death Breaths!
Yeah, that’s seasonal.
100%
Let’s do it blizz!
This season I have 29,728 dbs. It would be nice to convert them to other crafting materials. I am well aware that is only a drop in the bucket for some players. But for me, it’s a lot. What will I do with all of them? They just sit there collecting dust.
Too easy then, to get materials for crafting or whatever else might be worth getting if they can be converted to something else, like, for example, forgotten souls.
Instead, the dev team should look at making use of crafting items more bearable and desirable. And, they should double and redouble again the DB costs or maybe even cube the cubic costs.
People won’t have a problem with Soul if they didn’t drop crap on the ground. How many games have been in where the screen is full drops in town.
This is a season thing and next season people will be here crying I don’t have enough DB!!! With the Gifts and being able to upgrade puzzle ring to ancient. That will not be there next season. It isn’t there in non season now.
I have been here from day 1. This is the first season with all the mats we got. I was able to make a Barb from the cube. Plus when I was done I had all ancients on that Barb too. You think you be able to that last season or next season? NO
This really only help non season people to a point. On my non season accounts I have 30,000 to 35,000 DB, 15,000 to 20,000 soul and over a 100,000 on yellows, white, & blues. The only thing I’m short on is bounty mats. I will have well over 1200 to 1500 when season ends because of the Gifts. It is a season thing enjoy it to the fullest.
Another thing that might be interesting is to ensure a lockdown affix when performing a reforge. This is akin to the enchantment but different. Basically, if you add 1000 DBs and 100 FS, you can select a single affix to guarantee on the reforge roll… but not the item quality or any other aspect. Some items would benefit a great deal, but it still leaves open the chance to get garbage and D3 loves its refuse.
Again hostility and wild, baseless claims (strawman arguments) from you
The people littering the floor with legendaries are most likely not the ones who complain about not having enough forgotten souls. They may even act out of generosity by letting team members have access to either needed gear or salvagable stuff.
Having excess Death Breaths is not a season thing, it’s a Sages Journey on follower thing.
It used to be that it was Death Breaths that held you back, basically every recipe in the game is slanted towards using substantially more of every other material than DB:s and with them so easily farmed nowadays you will end up with a major discrepancy between DB:s and everything else.
Now sure, you could not use Sages on the follower, but there’s really not any enticing alternatives, so why not use it and get something out of it even if it’s only really helpful at the start of season.
For me, it still would be.
I’ve ended up with the situation that if I used every single DB I have for the Cube’s “Upgrade Rare To Legendary” recipe, at the point I ran out of DBs I’d still have approximately half a million of each of the white / blue / yellow materials.
Sure, but that’s due to your current “stock”, it has nothing to do with ease of farming the various mats. I have about the same number of DB:s as you on non season, a twentieth of your other mats, assuming they cap at 999,999, dunno what the asterisk means.
I’m sitting laughing at this and you really have no Clue do You. This game is monkey see monkey do. I have seen 100’s on new people drop stuff on the ground. They have 600 or 700 paragon and they are brand new to the game. How much soul do you think they have?
When did this game become a team members game. What game you playing? This game is all about Me, Myself, & I. 10 to 20% might help you and 80 to 90% don’t really care about you.
Yes DB isn’t a season thing, but this season it is!!! Let see here I been here from day one. I have almost the same amount of DB in season that I have in Non Season. I have played every season and this is the 1st that I have almost 20,000 DB and 10,000 soul. What I think the OP is talking about is what we getting in the this season.
We are getting 10 times more DB & Soul. Because of all the ancients rings & gifts this season. That we didn’t have in the past. If it isn’t a season thing this season. Tell that to non season plays that are not getting what season players are getting???
There are no caps on any mats like Yellows, Whites, Blues, DB, Soul & bounty.
It’s funny how you always seem to end up playing with the “worst kind of players” (according to yourself). Still, you don’t know if these people, who don’t salvage, ever complain about not having enough forgotten souls?
Could it be that all the more skilled and dedicated players are more picky about who they choose to team up with?
The materials tab will show a value of 99,999* when you reach 100,000 of those materials. This is merely a display limitation, as there’s seemingly no actual cap on the amount of the materials you can have. That’s why my screenshot was taken very specifically with the Cube’s “Upgrade Rare Item” recipe showing, after I’d clicked Fill, as it shows the amount of the materials on the stacks put into the Cube. I currently have…
If I used the “Upgrade Rare Item” recipe until I ran out of DBs, that would be 3103 upgrades. That would use 77,575 DBs and 155,150 each of the white / blue / yellow materials. That would leave me with…
DBs are still my limiting factor.
Again, due to your accumulated mats over 27 seasons, DB has been easily acquired for 4.
I’ve had 20k+ DB:s every season since the follower changes, I currently sit at over 40k on season.
