Don’t care if the game isn’t even close to be released, it would just be cool to have a place to talk about it rather than overflowing on other games forums

How would a dedicated Diablo 4 forum stop the haters from doing that?
It doesn’t stop them but it’s an extra step to get there
People that roam Diablo 3 forum because they like D3 would be much less likely to go on another forum, especially if it a game they don’t like
For example, I’m here and I hate Diablo 3 to the bone
But it’s only because there is no D4 forums
Keep in mind that having a dedicated Diablo 4 forums wouldn’t stop Diablo 3 players from posting in it. After all, the Diablo 3 players would in fact give their opinions on what they would like Diablo 4 to have, just as the Diablo 1 and 2 players would as well.
We have seen the D3 haters on this forum some of them say that D4 is just a D3 clone or D3.5 which is not true. Some of these D2 worshipers might not even purchase D4. If that is the case, they will not be able to post on the D4 forum. Or it could be that they will purchase D4 just so they can complain about in on the D4 forum. To them D2 is the best game ever created and they want everyone to know it. Even if the majority of people have already moved on. Some people just want to vent, and nothing is going to stop them, just look at the D2R forum.
Fine, create the new forum. But don’t let anyone who owns D2 or D2R post to it.
No need to drag that forum down with endless toxicity and negativity about everything those players always seem to bring
I am sure you will need to purchase D4 to be able to post on the D4 forum. Some of the haters will still show up. Hypocrites will say one thing and turn around and do the opposite.

Agree there definitely should be a D4 forum and the devs could do with being a bit more active on posts too. How does anybody know what is worth discussing if devs never weigh in on anything.
Look players will still see hatred for Diablo 4 even when D4 does get its own forums. D4 having its own forums won’t change that. It just mean that we won’t see it on the D3 forums. Also we would take our forums back again since D4 would have their own forums.
D3 players should have a place to discuss D3 without seeing all of the non D3 topics. It is Blizzard’s fault for telling people to post D4 comments on the D3 general forum. So, we really do not have a dedicated place for D4 yet. Thankfully most of the D2 worshipers are now on the D2R forum. I would bet that the D3 forum will be inundated with D4 hate when people cannot post on the forum without purchasing the game first. Just like they did with D2R. But as PezRader said they are thinking about moving aways from the forums for D4 and D:I.
