It’s so dark in Tristram right now I can’t even see the event.

The cultists are there and they drop one of the 7 special pages:

The portal will show up on 3 Jan 2026.

Perhaps if they want people to find cultists they could show up in places where one might expect to find them.

Cultists appear in many areas of Sanctuary. But, the Cultists associated with the January Event are specifically Temporal Cultists.

They appear every December 31st.

The MAIN Event, The Darkening of Tristram, DOES NOT BEGIN until January 3rd.

This is one of the achievements of the The Darkening of Tristram event.

Once you obtain all 7 pages, you will receive a “Classic Angel” portrait (frame ?).

If you already have that achievement (and the portrait), then the pages only contain a bit of lore involving Adria and leading into the Darkening Event… :slight_smile:

The preamble to the event is still the event. If zero cultists show up in my first pass through maps where I think they ought to appear, I go back to D4. I got all this stuff the first time it ever appeared.

how does the portal open, my screen has frozen 3 times and I’ve had to restart the pc because nothing it happening after entering blue portal in old tristam ruins.??? is it another technical glitch only in Canada?

Try what? Look for something in only the places I personally think they should be? Instead of looking everywhere, or instead of in places where others have historically had the best luck?

Why would anyone try that strategy?

Seems to work fine in EU region. There could be problems in US region as mentioned in the Bug forum.

Game freezes here also when entering, have to restart pc, I’m playing Europe region.
