[D4] The D4 blog will be next week

there’s really nothing there. what is the end game of d4? i think they dont know what to do with the game and are still trying to decide if it’s going to be GR’s or D2 lewt hunting or silly overland stuff like Lost Fark or something new.

i hope they dont do something as wasteful as the D3 story mode. Literally 90% of the game unused for endgame.

What are they going to even do with the game to make us want to play it more then one time???

Nothing to look forward then unless there is surprise update is not environment art + music.

Plenty to look forward to IMO. Art is one of the best thi gs about games. If it looks like garbage, hard to read, or has rainbows where they happen in real life(directed at those trolls from 2008), that could make nor break a game for me. Yea gameplay is king, but some crappy looking games are just too much to take. We all know D4 looks good already, but I’m interested.

It looks good but so much has changed from what we last saw ‘apparently’.

And where is that coming from?

They changed skill tree and all we saw was a picture, there were lots of critics about things and yet to hear if they changed any of those and we have yet to see more on Druid and a class reveal

Not to mention we may even get a glimpse on some things, for example how certain skills could change the weather (Like the Druid’s cataclysm), some locations that we may be going through (like Hell for example).

All in all, this will be a good read imo, and I’m looking forward to it. It’d probably be a different story if I was greatly worried about Diablo 4, but for the most part, I’m liking where they’re going with it.

Yeah, should be a good blog. Anything is better than nothing. I appreciate that the development is being shared.

I for one am excited to see new environments, if that’s what Pezradar means by “block out levels”.

Also keeping in mind there might be some indirect infos from the videos, especially if the UI is in display.

I’m afraid D4 will be just “beautiful D3” in terms of endgame. 2-3 days every season and you’re done.

Interesting
i think they need to hurry up a bit. Can we at least see some 4k footage yet please?

At all of you guys, I was referring to graphics, since that is what this thread and blog is about. I know stuff in the game has changed and will continue to until release.

Considering they said they heard the complaints about that, I doubt it.

The game looking pretty is secondary, to me, to the game itself. Most every game can look wonderful if desired
but making something I want to play is a stretch further.

So, I’d rather see something that gets me excited about the game. Not take me through some fantasy museum of things I may not even see (because nothing is solid in the game yet, right?)

I doubt we’ll see something different from 2019 regarding art. It seems they are saving the juicy stuff for Blizzcon.

Well last year’s art blog was focused on character art, which included our character, some enemies, and an ally.

This upcoming art blog will apparently be more focused on enviroment art, so we’ll likely be seeing more things pertaining to multiple areas from different regions. Like last year’s art blog, which also showcased the player’s lair scene as well as the ability to further customize and/or transmog their equipment; it’s likely we’ll see another hidden gem in this blog as well.

All in all, this blog will likely be boring to some, while enjoyable to others.

Which is on indefinite hiatus with D4 potentially releasing before the next one happens.

Rather pointless. Screenshots and gameplay videos already cover the art department as far as gamers are concerned. Again, this behind the scenes stuff
not really my cup of tea. That’s the kind of stuff one should focus on after the game has been released and well received, if at all. I want updates that I can provide feedback on. It’s very hard to do that when it pertains to your methods.

True. But I think they don’t need feedback anymore.
