[D4] Solo Leveling gameplay

First of all, apologies if something in the following message is not that clear, english is not my primary language.

So, everything starts with I’m a huge fan of Diablo’s franchise. A few days ago, a friend of mine recommended to me a manwha (korean manga) named by Solo Leveling. Basically, the art is fantastic and the main character is a Necromancer, which immedially made me remind on playing Diablo 2 with my favorite character.

The protagonist has an exclusive gameplay, he can summon a lot of minions, but the coolest part is its interaction, they also level up, get stronger and can be promoted: from normal to elite, from elite to commander, and so on. When they level up, the owner can name them, after they achieve the Commander rank, they can interact (talk) and he also can manage each commander to be the leader of part of his minions.

I got really hyped by this manwha, as I was never before. And I believe only blizzard team can develop something like that in a game.

I really think a gameplay like that could make Diablo 4 even more unique.

Btw, sorry about the spoilers, even that I recommend the reading of Solo Leveling to everyone!

i dont think that the necro in diablo would “promote” his undead and give them ranks xD
wrong franchise i guess

how I explained looks like more SoM/SoW than Diablo, right? But if you read the manwha, you can see many elements that remind Diablo, like grinding, etc.

and the real question is: why not? Why necro can’t promote his undeads? Instead of having an unique skill that summons a Giant, why not just promote a skeleton to a better version of it? xD Isn’t it cooler?

if you are thinking that abstract
ofc it would be cooler for low tier skills to become stronger and end game viable instead of skills replacing each other on the way through the skill tree
with the current model of active skills, it would be likely for a summon to get enhanced over time when you invest points

Because they want the Necromancer to do most of the killing, not sit back and be a lazy cow while the minions do all his work for him.
