Town for arcade

Being in town should be fun

The town is used for story, pause and mini games:

  • Bets, Dice
  • Horse races
  • Arena championship

Recycling and Selling, boring tasks, should be automatized

Pouch Bag: Auto Pick / Recycle / Sell

When this option is activated:

  • Loot does not appear on the ground anymore
  • Loot appears in a dedicated temporary zone called the « Pouch Bag »
  • Pouch Bag is a virtual scroller (infinite scroll)
  • Pouch Bag is a FIFO (First In First Out) of 1000 items
  • Items over 1000 or over 24h old are automatically recycled
  • Recycling gives both materials and gold
  • Right click to transfer an item into the Stash

This mechanic is designed to:

  • Auto pick any loot
  • Fast inspect items
  • Fast stash items
  • Auto recycle
  • Suppress the town loop

Inspired by emails and notifications (spam filtering)

Omni Stash: Searchable, Portable Stash / Armory

When this option is activated:

  • Global Search is available (Algorithm: OkapiBM25, like ElasticSearch)
  • Stash is available anytime and is auto sorted when updated
  • Stash is a virtual scroller (infinite scroll)
  • Stash slots are unlocked at the rythm of 10 slots per level (Progression)
  • Builds can be created, updated, deleted, switched anytime
    (Multi build for solo / group / bounties / bosses)

This mechanic is designed to:

  • Suppress the town loop

Relics: Build as a Deck / Card Game

When this option is activated:

  • Any item can be equipped in a zone called the « Relics »
  • Relics is auto sorted when updated
  • Relics is a virtual scroller (infinite scroll)
  • Relics slots are unlocked at the rythm of 1 slot per level (Progression)
  • Any item can contribute (+X to Skill, Legendary / Set power)
  • When multiple occurences of the same item type are equipped, an average value is computed
  • The weapon manipulated by the character is a customization choice defined in the wardrobe
  • Skill Tree, Runes and Parangon boards are skipped, as Relics can handle all AND combinations
  • Sockets are skipped, Gems become consumables (gained from loot or jewerly auto recycle)
  • Book of the Dead is preserved for OR choices

This mechanic is designed to:

  • Increase the number of combinations (exponential: More than Factorial 50! ~= 3^64: billions and billions)

Inspired by Warcraft 3 (Any item any slot)

This mechanic is designed to:

  • Fast inspect item contribution
  • Optimize builds

Recycling low level items in town

Recycling in town is still a thing for early gained low level items present in stash and now considered as useless by the player.

Player will probably want a recycle sink to remove them from its stash.

That being said, the proposed mechanics should eliminate 90% of town loops.

Which means more time to hunt monsters.

For Auto Pick / Auto Recycle, Loot Filter is another solution:
