You have to constantly spam skeletons like you are casting any regular attack spell. Even on trash mobs, you have to keep casting the skeletons constantly. They are 100% useless in any boss fight and are constantly 1 hit destroyed.
On the plus side it’s a Blizzard game.
Just wait 6 months and it’ll pretty much be an entirely different class from balance changes.
Blizz design philosophy #2:
Pressing buttons = player fun.
Therefore, pressing more buttons equals more fun.
I know they have less than a month, but hopefully they can figure out the difference between a summoning/pet class and a caster class.
Based on what you’re saying, and what I heard, I wouldn’t conclude, that D4 necro is trash… rather, I’d reach the realization, that D4 itself is trash.
The game supposedly had a closed endgame beta… and yet, there are massive balance changes to skills and classes based on the open beta up to lvl 25. Very strange…
Weird.
I wasn’t having nearly that much issue. But I also invested a lot of points into the skeletons, they would tank both mobs and elites and most bosses just fine.
Maybe rank the skills higher and gear for them a bit more. Not that hard to be honest.
Most likely they made D4 Necro’s minions weaker at base due to the potential buff from the legendary items, paragon and skill levels in the late game.
They might have mellowed out the skill development. So thinking you only can reach around level 20-25 in this beta, your skeletons power may increase rapidly in end game. It’s natural that you require more commands to keep up when you’re at low level, and end game the flow will be sophisticated later on.
They didn’t let you go max level, because it supposed to be a trial or a test for servers. When players are allowed to reach the max level, it’s natural that they want their characters fully with adorned legendaries to be carried to the release version. No, it was a test and now it’s gone. People won’t feel sad when they lose a level 20 legendary item regardless of how good the affix rolls are, but they will question if you rip them out of a good max level item even in the excuse of server testing.
Server slam supposed to be a test for gathering feedback from public. Feedback for rest of the game will be taken from 4-day Early Access by pre-ordered paid customers. This will allow them to tweak last minute changes, then after game released expect a few more patches in the first three months.
OP you are on the wrong forum, so this is for you.
did you ever think he might not be able to make a post on the D4 forums!
This forum is for General D3 discussion. If people can’t post on the D4 forums, they can use this:
Did you ever think that’s irrelevant to this being off-topic for the D3 forums?
If you like necro give bonespear a go with seasonal powers. You can mix curses & every monster you kill reduces potion cooldown by a second. Just need to give up blood rush. The utility is almost as good as an old inna monk. With passthrough & movement bonuses its crazy fast. Great for keys & speed grifts (119). Gets a little slow above 140 but super enjoyable.
I want to be Rathma. He is badarse!
I believe this guy is Lilith’s son(?).

But everyone knows can post on the D4 forum without buying D4 temporarily.
Everyone can during the test phases. (Both now and back when the OP made the thread.)
did you ever think that, some people post here because they can not post on D4 forums, and then people give him sh#* for it!
Just like how your giving me sh#*!
aahh no not every knows that!
I’m not sure how simply informing you and others that the D4 forums are currently open to everyone is giving you anything, Hider. I posted that information for you and everyone who happens to come through here.
WittyGem, please read before blathering. Nothing I said warranted your remark.
No, I’m telling you that posting about D4 on the D3 forums is off-topic, regardless of whether you can or cannot post on the D4 forums (even though, during the Server Slam, everyone can post there).
