Someone tell me if anything has been mentioned about Horadric Cubes or Kanai Cubes in D4?
Nothing as far as I know of. However, I’m sure we’ll see a cube in Diablo 4; as for whether it’ll be Kanai’s Cube, the Horadric Cube, or a whole new cube altogether is anyone’s guess.
The Cube is cannon by this point, not having it in D4 seems highly unlikely. How would they explain the absence of it really? Aside from it exploding in the storyline and becoming no longer available. I trust it will exist in some form.
That is what David Kim told Rhykker. Diablo 4 Dev Interview: Lead Systems Designer David Kim (BlizzCon 2019)
But is it bombastic?
One n… canon.
But, yes, there will likely be something that serves the function. We already know about storing certain item properties for use elsewhere. That is a Kanaidric effect. So, maybe it will just be merchants that do things, making them relevant throughout the game.
Plenty of ways really. Destroyed/lost/stolen/hidden, as I understand it D4 happens decades after D3, plenty of time for a small item to get gone.
Or even if devs want to go there still in the hands of d3 hero, who might no longer be a hero or gone somewhere that is very hard to reach.
Maybe Kule snatched it some how. Or Lohar still has it(if he still lives). I’m shure we’ll come across someone who knows something about it(them?).
It would take much really.
There will be a cube, when you click it a Bravata will pop up trolling.
Hopefully no cube. At least not one with the functionality of D3s cube. Nor D2s for that matter.
It would be way cooler if they remove the inventory and the cube is our new inventory. Let the modding begin.
- Cube space +2
- Cube has mind on its own (may throw/craft items randomly), but has space +10
- Weapons take 3x1 spaces in the cube, but all armor types take 4x4 spaces
Honestly, I would like to see Cain get some love since he was murdered in D3. They guy was already old, couldn’t he have died of old age somewhere. Cain’s Cube?
Deckard’s Coffers.
Nope.
As far as I have heard the only thing I saw about legendary powers is that you can move the power onto a powerful rare item.
This means you can find really good rares like in D2 but add powerful legendary powers to them. But this is really lame compared to the Kanai’s cube in diablo 3 which let you have three extra powers as well.
Not really looking forward to D4 honestly. Everything they’ve chosen to do seems lame. World bosses that are forced upon you I.e if you don’t kill them you can’t progress further in the “world tiers” (difficulty levels). This is really bad game design for diablo because it forces you to play a certain way. In diablo 2 I can play any area I want to provided I’m strong enough/equipped for it. In Diablo 3 the only things that are “forced” are the rifts for pushing endgame content. But diablo 4 you’re forced to fight world bosses just to unlock higher difficulties which is just a worse version of the rifts. So now instead of just beating the rift and going to a higher rift level you have to go find the boss and kill it and then poof now you can go to nightmare mode level 2 and on and on… so basically they removed the best parts of Diablo 3 and replaced them with something that’s more like Diablo 2. Why?
Why not have both?
Being forced to play with other players for some world boss/event ruins the immersion for me completely. I don’t want to see 20 other players killing a boss, I want to be the hero myself. That’s what diablo has always been for me.
I think Diablo 4 will be successful and I’m sure it’ll be good but even as arguably one of the biggest Diablo fans in the world I’m not hyped for Diablo 4 at all.
