[D4] Heroic Stones Leaderboard system with a twist

In front of each dungeon is a heroic stone. and each dungeon should have fixed levels.

If activated, your body is pushed into the spirit realm. You choose a level, and your spirit becomes that level.

All gear stats, traits ect, over that level is blocked temorary

For each level your character is under the base level of the dungeon, the greater the reward when clearing it. and lowest level hits the leaderboard of that dungeon.

and a maximum time limit to stay in the spirit realm.

maybe even a essence system where you only can activate 10 - 20 unless you farm more heroic essence end game.

WHY:

I would love the gear and stuff we find along the way to have some kind of meaning other than scrap.

For example, why have rool on stats under level 60 if we’re not going to use them 3 levels later?

I would love to see low level 2 or 3 piece sets come back.

It would make the reduce level stat in jewels more interesting to play with.

The Story :: the not so importen stuff xD

A spirit appears after clearing the first dungeon.

“Dont be afraid stranger, my name is Kormac in my privius life i was a templar traveling the land with the great nephalim to bring justice oppon all the minions of hell, but after i passed i watched as the minions again kravled up from the deapts never ending… help me bring and end to this plauge, find my stones of power (heroic stone) imbue them whit my essence and i can trasport your body to the spirit realm leaving behind some of your power, and then find and destroy the connection to the underworld.”

The spirit disapears and leaves behind a heroic essence.

I actually like the idea. It’s like a reverse leaderboard and gives people an actual reason to try harder.

Thanks :grin: i was first thinking of it being a secondary playthrough thing… like give this to your new rouge and try to beat a lvl 20 dungeon at lvl 14 whit some awesome drop you fund with you main char… but 2 problems came up, we would lose time on main character proces. and the secondary char would maybe lvl up to fast in the dungeon making ones effort wasted.

but this could add a new type of Goal / endgame, and maybe even help with trading. maybe im just dreaming to much xD

Well it would work if you could select the level you wish to attempt it at and have the system level you down (removing appropriate skills, etc) in a temporary way. Prolly a bit late in development to hope for such a thing but can’t hurt to throw the idea out there anyhow.

Do you mean like “Item level -6” and “Requierments reduced by 10%” or else i dont quiet follow xD

yes this crap is dumb u want to reduce yor own power take off yor items whts problem why you need some mystic power on entrance of dangeon sudenly to curse me curse you not me ,i wasted half life to farm power now i getin reduced cus some one like to reduce powers this absurd and with yor logic you are dangerous Game Masta

Seriously chill… The suggestion was for an entirely optional dungeon mode, you would still be able to do it the normal way all you want. No need to stomp all over someone else’s valid suggestion.

why you need to waste time on useles coding just go nacked into dungeon and do wht u like peaples need to think twice before they posting serious offers thats wht hepnds then wyat reading yor posts look at D3 and Imorral

As starelven said its just an alternative game mode its not for every one but if 10% of the players keep playing the game becouse they think this is a fun way to challege yourself wound’t it be worth it…
And i dont want to reduce power i want the Items that we find along to be meaningfull

with that said i understand it would requier a lot of coding. but like is it a nextgen game or not, im sorry for having to high expectations…
And if coding your biggest concern. then here:
artifact in town called
Blood sacrifice Pit
unlocks at lvl 50 for all your char.
can only be used below lvl 45
When activated reduce level by 1
the next hour all xp gained is transformed into gold or added to the paragon xp of your main char…
This would reduce the coding alot and the leaderboards like copy/paste change dungeon name enter xD

would this help or are you just against the idea no matter what.
