“Create and customize your character to battle onward against the unspeakable horrors that blight this land. Choose from one of four classes, discover and experiment with a vast array of powerful equipment, and carefully select your talents and abilities to become steadfast in the face of darkness. But choose wisely; your world depends on it.”
Looks like we’re buying the fifth character folks. I doubt they’d word it like this if there were five classes at launch.
Oof this is why the franchi$e, and gaming in general, is in its sad current state. We shouldn’t be buying a class they said would be included in the final product. Soon they’ll be selling us the base game and each class separately. Stop enabling this bs because when we give them an inch they take a mile.
It’d be fine if that’s a typo or simple mistake on whoever’s in charge of the site. If not, then that would definitely be against what they’ve been saying for years about us having 5 classes available at launch.
The Classes of Diablo IV
Players will be able to choose between five different, unique classes on launch. Let’s start with a few fan favorites, three of which we’re revealing today at BlizzCon:

At launch, Diablo IV will have five unique character classes, each bringing its own distinct mechanics that embodies their respective fantasy.
That’s what I was thinking. MAYBE it’s a typo or an uninformed site designer. We can only hope but the magic 8 ball isn’t as optimistic. They’re more than likely announcing the release date today and with that comes huge traffic to their site. Maybe they’ll change it to five after a fifth character reveal? I don’t know, I don’t put anything past Blizzard anymroe.
Xbox Bethesda Show leaker. New D4 site before show. Beta signup. D2R release date being at Xbox Bethesda last year. No Blizzcon this year. I’m going with “likely”.
Seeing as it has already been confirmed to not be released in 2022 and Blizzard being very stingy with heads up on their release dates, I’m going with “extremely unlikely”.
Example, release date for Immortal was revealed in April, so less than two months heads up.
Was stated in some investor information that it would not be released in 2022. Was plenty of threads on the forum for a while.
While we are still planning to deliver a substantial amount of content from Blizzard next year, we are now planning for a later launch for
Overwatch® 2 and Diablo® IV than originally envisaged.
It was speculated. Nothing confirmed. Fans expected it in 2022 and the delay is speculated to push it to 2023. We know no dates or how much of a delay they’re talking about. It could come out Sept 2022 or Sept 2024 given how little Blizzard themselves have given us. The only thing we have to go on is the leak, the lack of Blizzcon, the beta signup and new site, the bad PR around Immortal, and the fact that they used Xbox/Bethesda to announce D2R last year.
I don’t think it’s 100% in stone but I think it’s more likely than not that we’ll see Blizzard there with a big D4 announcement, hopefully release date.
Did you read the link? Why specifically mention to the investors that the income expected from those titles during 2022 would not happen if they had plans to release them in 2022?
Why be dishonest? IDGI. Everyone can see exactly what I typed, as well as the fact that you removed half the sentence in order to make your dig make any sense whatsoever.
And was before RoS / Necromancer, the final product? No.
Hence you bought a character, which you stated we should not do.
On top of that, nothing is “axed”, until you hear from official sites.
Most likely, it will come in an expansion pack.
Yes, I bought a DLC character (huge mistake). The thing is, and the thing you’re ignoring, they didn’t promise 6 classes in D3 at launch. Do you understand?
