D4 changes won't happen

Look at blizz track record. They don’t listen, regardless of what they say and they don’t make appropriate changes.

D4 will be the same as D3 because it’s the same company. They won’t fix anything, it’ll always be a mess and their quarterly updates will be a copy paste of “we’re sorry” “we hear you”.

You are sorry. Just a sorry, greedy corporation doing whatever you want, giving a speech of how you can be better while you laugh at us behind the curtains for believing anything you’d say.

Everything you don’t want will be in D4 and everything you do want will be followed with “we love feedback”, but nothing will change. It hasn’t changed in D3, it won’t change in D4.

Isn’t the definition of insanity doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result?

There comes a point when a company must make a course change or risk extinction. I’m inclined to give blizzard a shot for not desiring the latter. Given I don’t believe in preordering and just seeing what things are like when they turn out (or don’t), it’s a pretty no-risk bet to make. Recent history isn’t good. Posts like these are quite disingenuous, though.

I’ve made genuine posts. They don’t listen. I wrote out an entire feedback thread. Doesn’t matter though and that’s the point I’m making.

I have a sinking feeling that it’s going to be the D3 fanboys that ultimately ruin the game.

Sad but true. They more than likely won’t give us free trade; and items will drop like hotcakes as they do in D3. They will keep a 4 player cap – and continue to deny us the other BETTER qualities D2 had; that PoE understood the value of and maintains. PoE got tremendous success from Blizzards failure with the Diablo franchise; starting with D3.

I hope you don’t suspect i’m a D3 fanboy at all. At this point, I’m not a fan of anything blizz touches.

No not you, but certain people on the forum who shall not be named.

I know how ya feel, OP. I’ve already decided not to get D4 until at least a year after release to how things get altered after Day 1.

Tis a shame. There were quite a few Blizzard games I bought on release including Diablo 3, Diablo 2, Starcraft and several WoW expansions. BfA I held off for a couple months, and with Classic in full swing I have doubts I’ll get the new expansion (Shadowlands?) immediately.

The past few years Blizzard has shaken my faith in them and I no longer do Day 1 purchases on Blizzard games. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice…

It eases our conscience at least. We knew we tried and when the time comes, we will talk to devs and say: “what did we tell you”?

But in the end, from Blizzard’s point, everything will be fine. The game will sell well, because no one cares enough to boycott mediocre products. And who’s here to blame?

sorry Roidraged that the blizzard team don’t know or understand elementary math thank you for trying your hardest to get us Barbs buff after 7 years but they are to dumb to understand how builds work :rage:

Nope, they don’t listen. I’m sick of this franchise. So full of themselves. I’m not blaming nev, she is a solo CM, but blizzard have well enough means to hire another, simply for d3 patches and changes. BLIZZARD, HELLO, IS ANYBODY IN THERE?? WE ARE MAKING THE CHANGES EASY FOR YOU AND TELLING YOU THEM! I’m sorry for being impolite, but i’m sick of it. We offer “constructive feedback” We offer them polite remarks, we offer them polite criticism. They don’t listen. SO I AM DONE, I will no longer be advocating d4 to my friends, I will no longer by hyping up d4 to any gamer from other platforms, and believe me I know hundreds, i’m done. They can lay in the grave they’ve dug. I was such a huge diablo fan up until last posting. They’re lack of timing, communication, and listening to the community has, and will continue to destroy them. I am not buying diablo 4, this is ridiculous. one change blizzard, one change. DELAY THE SEASON ANOTHER WEEK, I’VE BEEN LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS SEASON SINCE THE PTR LAUNCHED AND THE NEW CLASS CHANGES WERE RELEASED AND YET I WILL WAIT ANOTHER WEEK OR TWO FOR THE REND CHANGES. It is one change. I mean how pathetic man, they never listen. Never will. Continue to grab money where you can squeeze it blizzard, because your community have dealt with this nonsense long enough and it is time to move on.

Calm down. We’ll see soon enough if they listen or not (I’m talking about D4; as for D3 - I don’t care).

I’ve been preaching this same discontent to them on Twitter, Facebook, and Reddit. They severely neglect the official forums. So many great discussions and ideas; swept under the rug. We also never even get any polls. Shows how much they value the opinions of their playerbase.

It’s why D3 ended up so bad; because they all had Jay Wilson’s attitude of “F*** THAT LOSER”…they are like Apple; they will do it their way, and be damned the rest of the IT industry.

You’re probably right. It’s an issue with how blizzard develops games now. They design them in a silo and it shows across all their IPs now.

This has a lot to do with the team behind the game and not only Blizzard itself.

D4 team is almost entirely new, maybe something change, maybe it doesn’t.

You can’t blame the new devs with old devs mistakes.

Give them time

Maybe it will hit them in the pocket book then , because I won’t buy a re-skin D3 game - Others hopefully will follow suit.

I agree with Londrer. Just have to wait and see what develops with the new game, should development continue.

I plan to wait at least 1 year before after release I consider buying the game, to see which way development, balancing, build diversity, itemization etc etc go. Whether I agree with it or not. Won’t drop a dollar until I feel certain the game is worth it to me.

Zeddicuus, I do agree and also hope that the new team 3 will deliver but after I watched all the panels, it was the itemization that really concerned me the most. And I will reiterate that I don’t want a D2 re-skinned but a deep complex D4.

At least if Blizz isn’t listening GGG is, and we can all play PoE new version if D4 ends up bad

This is actually a good and natural result.

Larger companies have less chance to listen to people’s complaints. Blizzard’s job is to think or guess about what the silent majority want.

GGG is smaller and much more fan-based. They can just do what people cries about.
