D4 Beta invites. Did you get yours?

That doesn’t mean someone can’t get tricked.

Yeah, most people do not know to have the actually email address showing and to hover over any links before clicking. And a lot of those urls are setup to look as much like the actual company’s as possible.

Hence, be careful.

You seem to have not understood. The email is a chance to get in (first wave) - and if you share things you are ditched.

It covers the invite too. Not maybe that you got one, but anything in the email at all can’t be shared.

This is not really something to chat about folks. I know how excited you are but read every single word of the email.

Surprised people arent realizing that it’s only a chance that it isnt actually guaranteed. Wondering if people think what blizzard means by not sharing is by not sending the email to others or it means to not talk about it at all?

I’m going to assume they mean both, because if it were me, I would rather error on the side of caution.

That’s what I’m assuming they mean as well so I wouldn’t say a dang thing if I was invited

Sure, but by virtue of NDA, no actual discussion can really occur.

But, no, not really.

Or maybe.

Does not really matter to anyone else.

In all honesty, what would it matter if one did say “I got an invite”? They could be lying. Where as giving actual details is a totally different story. Besides that, I guarantee people like Raxx will get it and I bet anything he will mention it. He said it with D:I as well, they didn’t have an issue with that either.

I play a lot of both D3 and D2R and didn’t got one. I’m sad.

When was the last time you log in to those games? I read that they will pick randomly from a pool of those who are currently actively playing Diablo games. It matters not if your playtime was 1000 hours but your last login was last year and etc. Even so, it still relies on luck in the end.

Am I the only one who doesn’t give a crap about taking part in a beta?

I don’t mean DIV, betas in general. Why would you want to play parts of a campaign and stuff in an incomplete way just to have to do it all again when the game is good and proper in a few months?

As I understand it this one is just for endgame so is similar to being given the opportunity to run a bunch of GRs if it were D3? So that changes things a bit, only doing an inherent grinding activity makes sense to want to see now and later.

Like if you are not a streamer/content creator/pro (in games with competitive scenes) it seems kind of redundant and like willfully seeing spoilers.

I can’t speak for others, but from what it sounds like thus far, D4’s endgame activities certainly sounds more interesting than D3’s greater rifts. So being able to test and give feedback on that may be up several folks alley. Not to mention that some folks may want to get in the beta as a way of confirming some aspects of the game.

I have to agree with this a little bit.

I have participated in a few beta’s in the past, Hearthstone, D2R, OW, etc. There is something to be said for having spoilers.

I mean think about it. You only get to experience a new game for the first time once.

So there is that to think about.

At the same time, I think having the option to maybe provide proper constructive feedback would be a plus as well.

But that will vary person to person.

Damn, I am going to sign up now…

I thought only no-lifers & Streamers have a chance, but I am taking a shot since so many people got invited.

Well as I understand it, its an invitation to be on the list to actually be invited in. Not a guarantee you will.

So while it sounds good, it doesn’t automatically put you in. Just puts you into the hat. But only if you got the invite mail to be put into the hat.

(makes a lot of sense right?) lol

Game on.

Sounds like it’s random, so if you’re interested, then you may as well. It’s not like you got anything to lose. If you’re selected, you get to experience the beta, if not, then there’s nothing lost.

I’ve actually been pretty lucky with my Blizzard beta invites. I don’t play that much, but I play pretty much every game. Might have something to do with it.

Damn,

Well, nothing to lose anyway. Going to sign up after I type an email

Edit: I went to the page, but instead of “Pre-registered”,

I got the “Sign up for more update” om site.

Hmmmm, just have to wait I guess.

No, I’m just saying it’s pretty easy to verify if it came from Blizzard or not. I mean if people just open emails and click on links all willy nilly, thats on them.

I know of a couple folks in my inner circle of friends who have, I’m still waiting for mine.

Not gonna lie though, i don’t think i’d care much about it, Persona 5r comes out on PC soon and Starfield next year- and frankly, i fear Diablo4 is not going to do well- i want it to do well, but my gut tells me not to get my hopes up; seeing as how there is already talk of things like cashshop “cosmetics” and “Season Passes” which may as well be called “Battle passes-you’ll-pay-for-during-EVERY-season-ladder” if Diablo Immortal’s antics were of any indication.

We’ll be lucky if Diablo4 is a buy once experience; because last thing a new diablo needs is a never-ending treadmill of cashgrab tactics.
