D3 needs more gold sink feature

Empower GR is a decent gold sink feature but that only if you are still upgrading the gems.

I have completed upgrading the number of legendary gems to the level I wanted, so I now focusing on the paragon leveling and I can see my gold stockpiling every time I completed the GR run.

If only I can use the gold to increase/empower the XP gain from the GR or double the elite/champion spawn or monster density for the GR.

no it has enough that it’s noticeable until you have farmed a little bit into the season.

The only thing that should definitely be done is the removal of the weekly cache at the start of a season. You shouldnt be able to get it until a week into the season. It’s legit cheating the way it is now and nullifies the point of starting over in a season.

I would love to be able to buy crafting mats (whites/blues/yellows) with gold. They are non-magical commodities. Gold is a commodity. Makes a lot of sense…

But have you repaired all your gear? That can take a big chunk out of your billions.

You must have those legendary shoulders.

You can actually buy blue and gold items and use them to equalize your stacks to have the same amount of (white / blue / gold) mats using kanai cube.
If you farm the season bounties, you will have a lot of blue and white that you can convert to gold easily using this technique.

I rarely do the challenge rift. The only time I do is when someone from my friends list invites me or asks if I want to do it, even then it’s usually once or twice in the whole season. Most of the time the builds are horrible and not even worth the meager reward for beating the rift timer.

imagine having to farm gold to repair your gear… we want a good game not a terrible game

Maybe I am nitpicking a bit on word usage but calling it “legit cheating” is just silly seeing as how it is entirely 100% allowed by the developers. And probably intended that way.

I wouldn’t have that much of a problem without it though, I enjoy the leveling process and the time it cuts off when you use it is nice but not a deal breaker.

Just get rid of gold.

I don’t have to imagine it.
I remember it from doing vanilla Inferno Act III / IV runs.

gross, terrible game. I’m glad Malthael killed it.

I am surprised that you didn’t know about that. I guess you never play D3 classic?

And it is “fun”.

of course i knew about that, except we did it smart. we farmed pots in leorics with gold find gear. Did you think i ws some kind of casual? hah I was speed running act 1 on the beta with my DH before you were even registered on these forums.

I am playing D3 Classic at the first day though, and I don’t think you are casual. I just thought you never play D3 at the launch judging from your post.

D3 beta was around 9 years ago now.
D3 was rated M for Mature in the USA, i.e. 16 and older.
So, you’re claiming to still be doing homework at age 25?

You’re hilarious.

this is the good ol’ usa home of the brave land of the free. Ratings are just a parental discretion. Diablo 3, mothers approve.

Okay, let’s look at it from another angle…

If you’re still getting homework presumably that means you’re still at school, i.e. no older than 18. So, you’re claiming you were beta testing D3 at age 9?

I don’t care about starting “fresh”.
I do not care about the seasonal rewards (only the stash tabs were worthwhile).
I would prefer to start the season with my fully geared ns character because sometimes I like the seasonal theme.
So, yes, I get me a plvl and that weekly cache.
Gearing up is a chore and quite boring.
