NO! This one has a much LONGER intro cut scene, and a protagonist who will die, with a knowledgeable hermit, and item durability, and a season pass and microtransactions . . .

Let’s not be hasty to judge a beta game with official game with 10 years polishing and refinement.
Lmao this happened with D2 to D3. Just trolls having their fun over the weekend before mods ban. D4 hasn’t even been seen as its whole yet. I mean we don’t even have seasons or sets on release since they said they’d wait like two months before releasing those.
I’m just disappointed that they seem to have taken a step back and actually REDUCED the number of build options for some reason?
Why did they remove the passive system from d3? It was flavorful and cool. More flavorful than “2% damage reduction per skill points” certainly.
It shouldn’t feel “inefficient” to spec into more abilities on my bar. This whole skill tree system really just doesn’t work for me. It seems outdated and clunky.
They’ve tossed any attempts at innovation it seems like. They’re just reverting to Diablo 2 mechanics to pander to the old people. It’s frustrating how deeply they’ve moved away from anything new or even Diablo 3. They’re making a concerted effort to rewind back to things that may have been impressive long ago but doesn’t really feel good anymore.

From the twitch footage I’ve seen so far, yeah, I kind of agree D3 seems to still be better. D4 for sure has the better art (but that should be a given). It seems unpolished in many areas though, and the story/presentation seems to suck just as bad as D3 (how?!).
Combat looks better than anticipated though (for early non-endgame combat stuff). Many are calling D4 a rip off of Lost Ark though I couldn’t comment on this as I haven’t played it. There does seem to be too much UI clutter for an atmospheric ARPG.
I’m pretty mixed so far. I’ll have to play it next weekend to have a more conclusive idea.
^ This. D4 is way to similar to D3 to have any interest from me personally.

d3 has had a long to become polished and still lags 
I love d3 but after getting to 20 on d4 I cant wait to close that chapter and say goodbye to d3

The world has been comparing apples to oranges without success for centuries. Nothing has changed.
D2 is better than D4. Change my mind. 
Apparently, D4’s major card on comparison is its combat, social hub and its atmosphere. They applied what they learnt from D3 and put its gameplay on another perspective. D4 seems fine to me, just await for dust to be settled.
