So I bought D3 back in 2012 played it, enjoyed it, forgot about it. I came back after playing D2R (what a great remake!) and so much has changed! But i played a monk campaign on hard and it was so easy! I didn’t die even once. I could have sworn it used to be a lot more difficult like D2. So I finished act V and hit level 69 (hehe shut up beavis). I did notice it got a bit more difficult toward the end. How do ppl play this game now? is the adventure mode where its at? another campaign on hell?
Another troll before the D4 launch.
Enjoy
June is still far into the future and I got time now. So adventure? Do you just climb up the difficulty level? Seems strange to have a pregame that takes you to level 70 and then you jsut what…farm equipment? Guess I’ll jsut have to try it.
Go for GR150 mate. That’s as “hard” as it goes.
No one dies on hard that is like riding a bike with training wheels.
Nightmare and Hell were always easy. As D3 automated the process, of googling the best op pally build that annihilates everything in sight. They decided that should be the standard and go from there.
That’s all ARPGs in a nutshell.
Why you played on easy mode (hard means ultra-easy in D3)? Try leveling on torment 6.
Well, D2 has 3 difficulties, D3 has 20, seems like a nobrainer. Up it to torment6 and you will struggle.
Yes.
i tried to raise the difficulty past hard but it was locked until a new campaign. I was just kind of shocked is all. I mean last time I played there were only 3 levels. I guess this makes sense and people seem to like it so…On to adventure mode!
Yep, they made it way too easy compare to release.
Diablo 3 went completely bonkers on difficulty. Hard is actually the “very easy” difficulty from other games.
It’s dumb that they locked new players to not being able to play in any difficulty that actually has teeth.
This is what happens when you do buffs after buffs after buffs after buffs after buffs after buffs and no nerfs ever. Unhinged power creep. Absolutely skewed difficulty curve. And once additional difficulty levels were added, more buffs were done one after another.
There should’ve been heavy nerfs periodically. Just ignore the whiners. You can’t do mere buffs and expect to find overall balance that way.
At this point it’s too late to properly fix it.
Returning players too! You’d think it’d be a glaring issue…but then what else can one expect from hires who thinks 99.9% chance of victory over helpless opponents, to be a good time. And they probably fancied themselves god among gamers just for that, and for the wherewithal to get an epic mount inside of a week. No wonder blizzard can’t pvp worth a damn anymore.
Yes. Campaign is now, basically, a Tutorial. You no longer even have to beat Malthael to unlock Adventure Mode, which is where everyone is playing.
That. Over and over again. Leave the game, click game settings from character select screen and up the difficulty to Torment 6 or higher if available.
I just laugh on this forum all the time. The guy came here for maybe some help. But the first person that replies calls him a TROLL. WOW
Yeah D3 is much different now. I preordered D3 back on the day. Played it like crazy before paragons were a thing. Then pretty much set it aside until season 16? I think. The free ring of royal granduer theme. Before that my total non season paragon was like 1400. I just played sometimes because i liked my clan mates.
Now though! Totally different game. A million times better than before. The seasons since 16 have all grown the game so much.
I can see why so many old players think D3 is crappy. At the time they played it was. Today though its a totally different experience.
One thing:
Sorry for my first comment, I was a little angry when I wrote it.
I hope you found some help with others comments.
No worries. Been there plenty of times.
Ok y’all weren’t kidding about the new difficulty levels. Whew! Dying left and right now. And love the adventure mode. I can’t believe missed out on this for near a decade. And now it looks as if everyone will be moving to D4. lol, man I’m always late to the party.
