I just started campaign again for the first time in forever to get some more lore knowledge. I started a game, and the cinematics aren’t playing. Only the character-specific ones are playing. The main ones for the story aren’t playing and I’ve had to go to YouTube to watch the first couple. Any tips why this might be? I have the “Skip all cutscenes” setting disabled.
“Skip all cutscenes” is the only control that I know.
If you can’t play some of them, I can think of the following reasons:
- some macro keep sending Space key (the default key to terminate play)
- the video files are corrupted or incompatible on your computer
Try Scan and Repair game files to ensure no files are broken.
Update video/sound drivers.
Also, you should be able to play cinematic cut scenes on the game menu.
The “locks” are stored locally in the D3Prefs.txt file.
They may be reset due to: reinstallation, manually deletion, …
You may edit the file to restore them:
PlayedCutscene0 "31"
PlayedCutscene1 "31"
PlayedCutscene2 "23"
PlayedCutscene3 "143"
PlayedCutscene4 "255"
If you can’t play them via the game menu, it will be a technical issue.
Thanks, I just changed the settings. The cuttings at least work in the menu but I’ll see if they end up playing when I finish the act
