I just checked my profile main page and 2 of my chars I had bookmarked. This is as of 2025-1-17 @ 12:38am EST NYC/US.
Have you logged into them recently in-game?
Yes. I logged into them 2 or 3 days ago on US and EU.
This happens to me sometimes too. When it does, I just keep trying until it finally works. Sometimes I just close my browser, restart and try again. I sometimes try clearing the cookies for just that page. First, I’ll try using my Bookmarks without logging back in to see if I can access my Profile. If that works I’ll try it after logging back in.
On Friday, 2025-01-17T10:57:00Z I’m currently not having trouble seeing yours, on Americas or Europe Regions.
How can you do that? Their user’s public profile is hidden.
You can bypass their older game profile by knowing their user ID.
Take mine for example:
https://us.diablo3.blizzard.com/en-us/profile/DTMAce-1687/career
Now if I were to replace the user name section with their name, then I could pull up their profile for their heroes. You can also replace the “us” with “eu” or whatever for the region as well.
That doesn’t get around their forum profile though.
Thank you!
Apologies for the tangent:
- On the career page, under Progression, there are 5 profiles. Are they unlocked when you kill each act’s end boss in story mode for the first time? (Would be nice to get some info when one hovers over it or clicks on it)
- A bit below, the artisans. Mine are lvl1, although I know I have leveled them up to max. It is even part of the season journey iirc. Yours and BossDogg’s are lvl12 though. What’s with that? Why are mine lvl1?
That is because none of your current non-seasonal heroes have completed the campaign. Only those characters at max level in non-season that have fully completed the campaign will show those leveled and completed properly. Seasonal progress with that won’t count. Has to be done in non-season for it to show up.
This has been an issue since seasons began. That profile progress was from a time before seasons were added to the game.
You can fix it though. Just run a character through the entire campaign in non-season till you get to the end of the game. That should clear them. You can also do it in HC and get those cleared as well. (I had done both, a long, long time ago)
Normally I wouldn’t say. I figure people have their Profiles “Hidden” for a reason. And I don’t wish to invade their privacy.
The only time I check a Hidden Profile is if someone wants help with their build. Then, I might take a look at their Armory Profile to see if I can offer some tips.
My profiles are up. Thanks.
@Perusoe:
My other post was removed.
Good point. Thing is, only their forum activity profile is hidden. The character profiles are not hidden, but the link to it is when their forum profile is hidden. However anyone that has been using the forums here know how to bypass it, so its not like its a big secret.
I have never subscribed to the thought of hiding my profiles in my games. But then, I have no reason to hide. lol
True. But, the thread is about accessing their Armory Profile to see their Characters. And @BossDogg may have their Profile Hidden for a reason.
@Orcinus wanted to know how I accessed the Profile. Without permission, I would wait for @BossDogg to post the links, if they wanted the rest of us to see it.
I don’t have a hidden profile… at least I don’t remember hiding my forum profile. My char armory profile should not be hidden.
Yes you do.
Correct. But, as @DTMAce stated: Your Profile page is where other users can access your Armory Profile using the View Profile button. With your Profile Hidden that View Profile button doesn’t appear.
If you want to unhide your Profile, go to your Profile/Summary and click on Preferences/Interface. Scroll down to Other and uncheck the box that says Hide my public profile and presence features.
Done. 1234-15 charac
When they upgraded the forum at one point, I think making the profiles private might have been set automatically. Or at least I think that’s what happened.
There was a lot of pushback from players about making profiles everywhere hidden by default, in games, in the forums, etc, a few years back.
Harder to get judged for your actions when no one can verify them with your post history.
It seems reasonable. I’m not worried at this moment. Maybe there will be something to be concerned about in the future.
