D3 after D4 release

Will you still play D3 when D4 comes out? Some people have a butt load of time invested in this game.

Probably some. It will depend on the quality of D4.

I don’t see why not.

I still occassionally play Diablo 2 despite Diablo 3 comes out.

Even after Diablo 4 launches, I’ll probably still play Diablo 2 and 3 from time to time. Of course how much I play those two will depend mostly on how much I like Diablo 4.

I will most likely move on to D4, just like I left D2 when D3 was released.

Which I honestly see nothing wrong with this choice.

Might still play D2R
But I cant see going back to D3.

As for playing D4, that obviously depends on the quality.

I’m pretty much done with D3 before D4 even releases except for maybe some rare occasions.

That’s a good question. I was thinking about it a few day ago.
Personally there is no doubt, I won’t be playing D3 anymore, except for a possible outbreak of nostalgia.
But I also don’t see much reason for anybody else to keep playing it. D4 will basically be a corrected version of D3 more than a complete departure (like D3 was to D2). What unique system will D3 have to itself that could be worth staying on the game ?

Grinding to paragon 20000
At least I hope D4 doesn’t allow that, uh, experience.

Yeah I was thinking about that. ^^ Kilometer may be the one to stay on D3 to “finish” the game.

Though I’m pretty certain there will be some kind of infinite grinding system in D4 too (just not for infinite power let’s hope).

Perhaps Blizzard will turn off the D3 servers? That’ll happen at some point. Maybe when D4 sales plateau.

And 24 years later, Diablo 1 is still played on bnet.

Did they ever move D1 character data server side? D1 mp was a cheater’s paradise from what I remember.

Probably not. I didn’t play D2 once D3 came out. Of course it had easily been 10 years since I touched D2 by the time D3 came out. I did try a few times and decided it wasn’t worth my time. Same with D1 once D2 came out. Even if D4 is bad, I’ll just move on and find something new.

Before RoS, i had about 4k hours of gameplay at D3. After RoS it gone to 6k hours. Nowadays, i almost never play D3 anymore. Maybe one week after new season starts, and move back to D2 or D1.

D3 lost all interest after paragon sistem…

Honestly, no I will not. Well…assuming D4 is crazy good and will pull at me to make a huge investment. There are only so many hours in the day and I’ll have to make a choice between the two games.

As D4 does not please me. It appears to be a step back to D2 so far with some POE type of skill trees. I will buy it and try it. As it stands ill be in D3 or other games. I will try D immortal on my PC it looks interesting. may move to immortal.

Wish I could try immortal but… “Don’t you have phones?” I do, just not a “gaming” phone. He should have said… “Don’t you guys have 500 dollar phones?”

Too soon to tell. I’ll let you know when D4 comes out.

Even though I consider D3 to be a weaker game than D2, I still left D2 behind and never went back once D3 launched. I’ll do the same thing when D4 comes out and I’ll play it off-and-on until D5 arrives in another decade. Blizzard may not be what it used to be, and the D1/D2 guys are long gone, but I still trust Blizzard to make a fun game that I will enjoy for years with every Diablo release.

Diablo is part of my gaming DNA (and has been ever since I played the first one, on a computer with less power than a modern calculator). I always have the latest release installed on my PC, even if I’m not playing it regularly.
