I couldn’t find any info that confirms or denies it, so: For the QoL changes that get added with the remaster, will making certain items like potions, scrolls, gems and runes stackable be a thing?
I appreciate that they confirmed that the inventory and stash get expanded, but I still remember lots of mule characters filled up with runes and gems, because they would take up so much space.
Making those stackable would be such a great improvement…
That actually would be a nice QoL change, especially considering that stash is shared now throughout the account as well as the possibility that we may not be able to have as many mule characters as we did on the classic version (via multiple accounts and such).
And back to the topic, stackable items are a good feature that D2R should be implemented considering how pathetic small is D2 stash size and inventory tetris is a thing there.
I’m playing the Reign of Terror mod in Grim Dawn and potions stack. After giving D2 a try earlier in the week and souring on the atrocious inventory management I’ve decided this is the single greatest innovation in the history of ARPGs.
Runes and gems should definitely stack. Potions can stack in the stash.
However… potions should not be allowed to stack in the inventory. That is not just QoL, but changes the gameplay.
D2 already suffers from endless healing through potions, and the only tiny limit is how many potions you can carry.
I think the devs already tried this but ended up scrapping the idea since it didn’t feel like the same game afterwards, when it’s supposed to be a remaster. If it matters that much you can always play a mod though.
You get extended stash size, the muling will work the same.
But you get a tab next to it that shares.
So you can mule 6 chars, switch char and put the items in the shared tab, switch back and no need to drop or perm a game
It will be more, the same thing applies to having d2r as d2lod.
You make accounts inside the game, you have like 16x16 boxes vs 12x8 in your stash.
Shared will only work inside the account A. not multiple accounts, but like the 8 characters in 1 account and multiple accounts.
It will all be the same but more stash space, with the addition of a shared tab inside the account
Edit: you won’t have to buy the game for each account, you will be making multiple accounts once you’ve muled one.
Same as LoD
