PC bots will flood the console market with gear, dupes, and ruin the economy. D2R on consoles has so much potential for a “pure” online experience, but cross-progression with PC will nip it in the bud.

I agree. The prospect of playing d2 without cheaters was my biggest positive to the remake. Really would enjoy that more then the graphics update and their so-called QoL improvements.
Not to mention they removed all reason for playing ladder except the leaderboard and the leaderboard has always meant nothing because everyone on it is cheating.
But blizzard wants the cheaters making money off those bots more. Incentivizes them to buy more copies of the game when they get banned. All blizzard has to do is a ban wave whenever they need some cash flow. I would go as far to say some of those bots were designed by Blizzard themselves.
I’m so glad they are doing cross progression. I plan to play on PS4/5 & Switch, but I would also like to play on PC. It will be so great to log into my characters seamlessly between platforms. All of my friends are really excited about it.

Cheaters will split this game more than WarZone, at least PS players can play normally there.

someone who uses bots or copies items in PC will in be able to log into the console with their items and sell them to you

I don’t get why I would need to log in my console with my "PC account’ to sell stuff to other console players.
I thoughts players would be 1 and only 1 crowd, whatever the support.

cross-progression = the ability to play on all platforms on one this account.
(you can change platform without starting over.)

WTF!? They deleted lobbies and named games for Consoles, and they introduced cross progression Consoles with PC. Are developers out of intelligence ? It is unbelievable …those stupid decisions. They should implement cross progression in Call of Duty or Overwatch. WTF we don’t have chat rooms and named games, but suffer from bots and dupes from PC. Not speaking of pvp and unbalance between console players and pc players…
Cross progress uses entirely onlline characters. That means once the item a PC user gets is traded on console, it’s gone from the PC user’s save on all platforms. Cross progress is, for all intents and purposes the same as Steam’s Cloud Sync, which lets you pick up where you left off on different computers such as a desktop <–> laptop. In this case it’s PC <–> console or console <–> console.
All ladder characters use the same global ladder that works as a mixing pot for all platforms, and all saves are cloud saves, never once touching your drive to be modified.
