The console versions absolutely need actual lobbies and game name creation/joining. How in the world are people going to be able to follow the same chaos run, Baal run, or trist run?
In order for an actual lobby to work, you’re going to need to add keyboard support at the least.
Another reason for keyboard support is, how are you supposed to communicate with random people in a game? It feels like you’re just wondering around in the console version and hoping that people follow you to do the quest.
This doesn’t feel like D2 at all because the social aspects of D2 have all been erased.
I refunded my Xbox copy for now and went back to PC because it feels so much better there with actual lobbies and text chat.
It’s an actual shame they are calling this D2. Diablo 2 was made on lobbies and playing/communicating with others. However switching back to PC shouldn’t be your option. We need to fight for console
I agree, but for now it’s what I had to do to enjoy the game. I just can’t go through with buying the console version if they’re not going to offer the features that the PC version has and that the game needs. As you said, lobbies and multiplayer play and communication are very big parts of D2 and the console version is severely lacking in those areas. I’ll consider buying it again once they address this or implement those features back into the game.
I also made a topic in the feedback section if you’re interested in reading/commenting to bring more awareness to the devs.
