Can somebody clarify what’s the difference between these versions of D2 : R ?
The Prime Evil Collection $59.99
Versus
The Prime Evil Collection Upgrade $49.99
Blizz needs to make it clear by making a matrix like the 30th year anniversary packages …
Because you own D3: ROS it will be just Wings/Pet & a copy of D2 R
Ok, so the difference with just buying the D2:R for 39.99 is that the Prime Evil Upgrade will give me the Wings and Pet ?
Can somebody show me what the Wings and Pet look like ?
You can see these here:

I just want to say that for someone who bought d2 original and LOD, pricing the remaster at 60$CAD I believe is very expensive. I know you guys worked hard on it and I really want to see the improved environment but the game is the same. I won’t be playing this game for the next 20 years.
Also the environment is especially great, but I thought some effects and skills were actually a downgrade. The “lightning” in Tal Rasha’s tomb creating an opening in the wall to fight Duriel… wah wah waaah. Also i find some monsters look bad, like the snakes in act 2 and I prefered the original look of the sand maggot. The werewolf is also I big downgrade from the original game.
If you want to justify making the game so expensive, some other stuff needs to come with it, perfecting the game. I don’t think full immunity was even an interesting feature, it kills build diversity. Also the skill trees are killing build diversity… nobody uses fire bolt. And what about the annoying way rabies work? You spread disease to enemies but if you one shot an enemy the rabies does not spread (so if you find a great weapon for the level you are on or if you go to a lower difficulty with your high level character) so you basically can’t use the skill as it should work and your efficiency really drops.
Price should be MAX 40$ CAD.
The Shop page for D2R is rather confusing, and that includes for me. Today some time was spent figuring it out. Here is what I have come up with.
- Diablo® II: Resurrected™ $39.99
– Diablo 2 and Diablo 2 LOD* Resurrected only
- Diablo ® Prime Evil Collection $59.99
– All Diablo 3 Content (D3, RoS, Necro)
– D2R (Diablo 2 and LOD Resurrected)
– Cosmetic D2R wings and pet
- Diablo ® Prime Evil Collection Upgrade
– Same as above but it will adjust the price based on how much of the Diablo 3 content or D2R content you have.
Price breakdown (USD)
- D2R $39.99
- D2R Theme Cosmetics (for D3) $10
- D3 packages $10
If you have any part of those three the “upgrade” will adjust price based off of the licenses on your Bnet account.
*Note: Reference to LOD in the Shop page means they resurrected LOD as well as base D2 as a bundle. You won’t have to buy a remastered LOD separately. It is NOT a new LOD 2001 license.
Agreed!
