The act 1 cursed chest you can use is “Cursed Bellows” in “Halls of Agony 3”. Same map you use for the Butcher.
You could google what other cursed chests there are in the game. I think there are 1 or 2 more that are maybe possible, but the rest are impossible or near impossible.
If you want the Conquest, best bet is to run Path of the Drowned with a speed build, the event appears far more than the bounty. If this is boring, throw in runs for the Cursed Bellows with the Cursed peat runs.
For Cursed Peat, just do a big loop with a speed build. If you run into another event (Castle in the Swamp, Burning Man, etc.) then reset.
For Cursed Bellows there are some tips online as it doesn’t spawn on every tile layout.
Once again thanks everyone for the speedy incrediable replies.
I actually has done this season curse conquest… knowing there are more really help me alot in the future on this conquest. Was searching high and low for it before i finally got it done. Thanks again.
You really don’t need a speed build for this. Because it is always near the portal. Yes sometimes it does takes many tries to find one.
This one is setup to do 350. I don’t know if the others are setup to do that.
Plus here is a tip. When I do 100 kill curse chest in bounties. I start the event and port back to town. I go do another bounty. I don’t waste the time standing there killing 100 monsters. I’ll port back later to finish it. Plus if it is on a map I’ll do that 1st too.
Indeed, the cell where the major zone event spawns (whether it’s the Cursed Peat or any other one of the alternatives) is always about one screen width away from the waypoint. No need to scout the entire map, just around the waypoint.
Note that this cell is shared between several events and only one can spawn per instance. So if you see for example the Burning Man event, you can stop and restart your session.
Not always. (And I think you meant Waypoint). Sometimes I find these Events, including the Cursed Peat, in one of the far corners of the Map.
I’m not sure I understand this. It seems that doing this will keep you from completing the Event before the timer expires and you lose the Bonus Chest; getting one instead of two.
I have done this conquest so many time I can’t count. It has always been near the waypoint. Even if you watch a you tube on it they will tell you the same thing it is always near the waypoint.
OMG I lost a bonus chest WOW!!!. So I’m going to stand there killing a 100 monster to just get a Bonus chest that really only gives you crap most of the time. I start it and come back later. That is time wasted when you could be doing another bounty.
They are some others you can do the same thing. Like the Defend the ironsmith Maldonado. You start that one too and come later to finish it.
Yes they are on a lot of the maps. You look at the map before you start. If there is one do that one first.
I take what I see in YouTube videos with a “grain of salt”. What works for them does not always work for me.
This, Season 32, I got my Curses! Conquest with the Cursed Peat Event. It was located in the far upper left corner of the Map. If I had been fishing for it, I would have missed it. (I usually search around the Waypoint too). Luckily, it was a Bounty. So, I had the yellow arrow on the Mini-Map to point the way. (I only wish now that I had made a YouTube video of it… Maybe next time).
I was going to take the time to fish for The Cursed Peat in hopes of getting it to spawn in one of the corners. But, it turns out I didn’t need to.
If any of the 5 Events listed below spawn in the Paths of the Drowned, The Cursed Peat will not be there. Only one of them can spawn at a time.
Lord of the Hill — this event spawns the correct hill for The Cursed Peat you are looking for, but has you fight a rare monster instead of spawning a Cursed Chest;
Pillar of the Faithless — this event spawns a staircase leading downward towards a pillar, which summons a horde of undead;
The Burning Man — this event spawns a pit filled with torches; it has you fight bogans and their wickerman master;
Lord of Fools — this event spawns a decrepit mansion-like structure where ghostly creatures ambush you;
The Crazed Camper, Lurk — he resides in a C-shaped clearing, furnished with a blood-soaked table and a cauldron.
The Cursed Peat will spawn in one of those locations.
As you can see in the image below, I did not find The Cursed Peat. I found the Lurk Event. And it is nowhere near the Waypoint. The Lurk Event could have easily been any one of those 6 Events. And, if I had only searched around the Waypoint, I would have never found it.
All hear on this forum more than once being Efficient. Not wasting time waiting for the timer to go down for a bonus chest. The end game is trying to do the bounties as fast you can.
Maybe not because it was a bounty event. 100% of the time when I went looking for it. It has always been near the waypoint. In the 10yrs of doing bounties I have never had it as a bounty.
Plus I re-watch the video and the lady who made it she did about 3 or 4 loops. When she did get one it was right near the waypoint.
In my experience, while it’s somewhat common to see a large event tile somewhat near the waypoint, it’s also quite common to see it some distance from the waypoint (as Perusoe says).
I’d say something like half the large event tile spawns will be at some distance from the waypoint.
Here’s a handful I found in just a few minutes of searching (I’m not going to bother editing the screenshots like Perusoe to highlight, but my character is at the large tile event in all the screenshots):

I don’t waste my time running the whole map. Every video out there shows it near the waypoint. If I ran the whole map looking for it. I could have done 4 or 5 restarts in that time.
Plus here somebody else saying the same. All I’m saying and he is saying the same thing. You basically wasting your time running the whole map.
If people want to run the whole go for it, I might have found one in that time.
If you only look for it near the waypoint, it’s entirely unsurprising that you only find it near the waypoint. However, that does not mean it’s only ever near the waypoint.
Except, as you’ve had proven to you, it’s sometimes nowhere near the waypoint, which means all of the YouTubers that claimed that it is always near the waypoint were wrong.
