Crusader Feedback:
With a major rebalance coming in S30, now is a good time to talk about needed Crusader changes, especially mechanic changes. Number tweaks depend on the target they aim for but are needed anyways. However how a Set plays also needs some changes imo.
Rolands:
Remove the 3 target requirement on Shielbash bracers. They should receive the damage buff all the time and on all runes. Right now only pound is useable.
Make the defensive DR additively so that it’s true 75% DR instead of multiplicatively for 55,7%
Fix the bug with Shieldbash not hitting targets right in front of you on console.
General number tweak needed on either the set or the buffing items. Especially the Shield bash shields should receive damage multipliers.
Give sweep attack some bracers to improve their single target damage, maybe tie it to one of the other Defensive skills like Shieldbash is tied to Shieldglare. Something like increase damage to the first 3 targets hit by XXX% whike Iron Skin is active or while Standing on consecrated ground.
Make the other Sweeping Strike runes useable as well, right now only the fire rune can be used
(2) Set:
Every use of Shield Bash and Sweep Attack reduces the cooldowns of your Laws and Defensive Skills by 1 second.
(4) Set:
Increase the damage of Shield Bash and Sweep Attack by 17,500%.
(6) Set:
Every use of Shield Bash or Sweep Attack that hits an enemy grants 75% increased Attack Speed and 15% damage reduction for 8 seconds. This effect stacks up to 5 times.additively
Seeker of Light
Give a base DR just by equipping the Set, the proc after Falling Strike has a delay in which you’re very vulnerable.
The buff management is very annoying. Don’t reset the Falling Strike buff from Faithful memory when hitting less targets on the next strike.
Add the stacks together, if I hit 4 targets on the first Falling strike and 3 on the second this should add up to 7 (until cap) and not reset to 3, reset the timer each time you hit another Falling strike.
Falling strike targeting is very clunky on console which makes it hard to play. Also give the set an tremendous damage buff to Falling strike, this should be a major damage component and not only for aesthethics.
Right now we make a flashy entrance with Falling Strike which does no damage at all, and then begin to throw hammers for some effect.
Imo it would feel way better, if we throw hammers to charge the Falling strike and then come down with the impact of a tactical nuke.
Maybe each time you land with Falling Strike create an explosion around each hammer cuurently in the air, for a cool Uliana like screen explosion effect.
The Set has way too many supporting legendary weapons. Making “hammers Orbit you” or “Falling Strike have a 2nd hit before cooldown starts” effects never find space in a build. These effects should be merged onto the other supporting legendaries.
(2) Set:
Every use of Blessed Hammer that hits an enemy reduces the cooldown of Falling Sword and Provoke by 1 second.
(4) Set:
You gain 50% damage reduction. For 8 seconds after landing with Falling Sword you gain an additional 50% damage reduction (multilpicative)
(6) Set:
Increase the damage of Blessed Hammer and Falling Sword by 15,000%
Akkhans
I miss the old Akkhans, therefore my change wishes might be our of the ordinary.
I’d like to have the Akkharats Champion Cooldown reduction back, so that we also can have permanent Akkharats without Phalanx. Enabling us to play manual Condemn and Bombardment Crusader builds again.
Maybe tie it to a restriction like “If Phalanx is/isn’t on your Skillbar”. If the damage of the 6pc needs to be tweaked depends on wether Paragon distribution stays or changes. Manual Condemn and Bombardment benefit both from Area Damage. With 200% that’s a massive buff.
If the old Area Damage from Paragon remains, then tweak the damage to increase by 1500% if Phalanx is on your skillbar and XXXX% if not.
(2) Set:
Judgment has no cooldown and gains the effect of every rune.
Reduces the Wrath cost of all abilities by 50% when Akarat’s Champion is active (2 pieces)
(4) Set:
Attacks from Phalanx Avatars reduce the cooldown of Akarat’s Champion by 0.5 seconds, and also apply Condemn when attacking enemies that are affected by Judgment.
Reduces the cooldown of Akarat’s Champion by 50% (4 pieces)
(6) Set:
While Akarat’s Champion is active, you deal 1500% increased damage and take 50% less damage.(6 pieces)
Invoker
This set felt really nice when leveling up before it was optimized. In the beginning Bombardment dealt a major amount of the total damage.
Bombardment is already part of the Set in the 4pc. It should receive a major damage buff on the 6pc, something like 1600%.
However the set is also focused around the two generators Punish and Slash. Right now the Slash variant with Omnislash belt is the superior version.
This version could be kept alive for those that like it, and the bombardment buff could be added to the Punish variant by saying while hardened senses is active (that means 5s after using Punish) Bombardment damage is increased by 1600%.
Like this we would have 2 viable versions of Invokers.

For this version, bombardment should receive a Cooldown reduction buff since you need 50% CDR to keep the Damage reduction of the 4 piece active, even with Lord Commander passive equipped - Punish for Single target + Bombardment for AoE
The bombardment version would still be completely different from LoN, since you need to keep attacking to stack the 2pc bonus. The 2pc buff duration should also be doubled to 4s and no longer be individual stacks, but the totall buff duration should be reset to 4s after you hit an enemy again.
The passive thorns damage AoE should also be buffed, it no longer does anything meaningfull
(2) Set:
Thorns damage now hits all enemies in a 15-yard radius around the Crusader and is increased by xxxx%. Each time an enemy is hit with Punish or Slash, or an attack is blocked, Thorns damage is increased by 90% for 4 seconds stacking up to 10 times.(no longer individual stacks) (Crusader Only) (2 pieces)
(4) Set:
Take 50% less damage for 20 seconds after casting Bombardment (4 pieces)
Bombardment Cooldown is reduced by 50%
(6) Set:
The attack speed of Punish and Slash are increased by 100%, and these skills deal 67,500% of effective Thorns damage. While hardened Senses are up (5s after using Punish) Bombardment damage is increased by 1600% (6 pieces)
Aegis of Valor
The Set deservers a DR buff in general.
The Khassetts Cord of rightenousness Effect should be swapped on a bracer or merged with Vigilante belt on one item. So that the Set has further flexibility on which supporting Set to use. (Cpt. Crimsons, Guardians, Aughilds) Right now Cpt.Crimsons is no longer possible for the FotH Variant.
The Vigilante Belt effect should remain active for 5s after using Steed charge.
The Heavens Fury that are not the “Fires of Heaven” rune should receive additional buffs or effects like “your fist of heavens deal XXX% increased damage to targets affected by Heavens Fury rays”
If the belt effects are merged, it would be possible to run Heavens Fury and Fist of Heavens with all supporting legendaries at the same time (except for Heavens fury proc on blocks)
(2) Set:
Attacking with Fists of the Heavens empowers you, allowing Heaven’s Fury to deal 125% increased damage for 5 seconds. Stacks up to 3 times.targets hit by Heavens Fury receive XXX% increased damage from Fist of Heavens
(4) Set:
Hitting with Fist of the Heavens returns 5 Wrath and reduces damage taken by 1.5% for 10 seconds. Stacks up to 50 times. (additive stacks for 75% total DR)
(6) Set:
Increase the damage of Fist of the Heavens and Heaven’s Fury by 20,000%.
For LoN builds give Crusaders a shoulder piece that reduces resource costs and increases wrath generation. Crusaders don’t have many unique shoulders and LoN Condemn or Phalanx Stampede builds are very clunky to play due to resource management.
All builds need number tweaks to be brought in line.
