Despite my Altar being complete, I’m getting CCd all over the place.
Is anyone else having this issue? Also, if it’s something else, what is it?
Check in Act 1 if the Altar is present. It’s not always loaded. We can still see the “downloading additional content” when starting the game - at least the first time each day after a PC start.

What do you mean it’s ‘not always loaded?’ How would I check that?
Also, I’m getting double Primal drops. So, something’s working.
Act 1 is where the Altar is located… it’s a well-known bug that’s been up the the bug forum.
And some functions from the Altar may work even if all don’t. This summer I had an instance where I could press the potion at will even though the Altar wasn’t fully loaded and present.
When I first read the title I thought I will be reading some conspiracies about birds. I guess not but I’m disappointed. If you are immune to crowd control, then you are immune to crowd control. Check if the Altar is present in Act 1 town and see if Seasonal buff mark is active at the upper right corner of your screen when you are in-game.
However, sometimes people confound crowd control with other effects and think features don’t work right when what they saw are mere exceptions. Some Elite abilities will make it look like you are subjected to control impairment if you don’t pay attention. For example; Wormhole still applies for your character and will shift your position, and Jailer sometimes shows a visual effect regardless of you being immune or not.

… also some rift guardians can throw you around. 
Perhaps BlackCorona has been used to playing classes with skills where wormhole champions isn’t an issue. It is hardest for wizards and necros.

As for conspiracy theories, sorry to disappoint; however, I do believe I heard a juicy one about Elvis and the Lochness Monster birthing Lady Gaga! Fun times, indeed!

You have to treat Wormhole like any other damaging ground effect and bait it elsewhere before you reposition for a better angle. In high push tiers, not just health and damage values but reaction of Elite monsters ramp up as well. When you feel stuck or frustrated, you can ask the forums.
