Have the devs officially confirmed cross platform play between ps5 and pc?
For Diablo 4? Yes. We have cross platform play and also cross progress on platforms.
You do have to buy the game for each platform you want to play it on though.

So if the wife got it on pc, I’d be able to play with her on my ps5.

Before you read further, we are excited to announce that Diablo IV will launch in 2023 on Windows PC, Xbox One X|S, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4/5 and will host cross-play and cross-progression for all platforms. On console, players may also slay demons side-by-side with a friend through couch-co-op.

This is incredible news. I must’ve missed this.
My wife is a streamer, and she wanted to get the game on her pc for that purpose. I do not have a decent pc, but a ps5.

She’s going to stream the beta when we have it too if anyone wants her twitch info I can pm you. I don’t want to do any promoting on the forums. But it’s hard to since she’s my wife lol.
