JoyToKey is much more likely to answer your request than Blizzard.
One requires writing new code, which requires expense. The other requires an afternoon of study.
…and is free.

Umm they updated d2r with native controller support and its awesome (and its in upkeep mode too). Honestly found out it had no controller support and promptly deleted the game. I hate using a keyboard. No support means I don’t play it. So either they create controller support or they lose out on a whole audience.
As explained to the guy above, they did that after saying the game would get no more support.

The loss looks more like on you. Paying for a game you don’t play. Not that I take pleasure in pointing this out. D3 works great on a PC with mouse and keyboard.

Uh dude the less people that play the game and eventually they retire it. If not having a controller results in them retiring the game no skin off my back…

You’re correct. I do think it’s more popular than we may guess, at least at this point.

I dunno, seems like using a controller on a PC would be like riding a bicycle backwards. Yes, you could do it, but why?
But seriously, I’m always for more options whether the’re beneficial to me or not.

It just gives people on different platforms a variety of ways to play. Some people stick to consoles but love mouse controls… such as what Switch 2 offers in some titles. Many PC gamers still enjoy using a controller for certain games, even ones that are not platformers. It’s just a current comfort level decision.
I bought it for console first played the hell out of it and enjoyed it. But wanted to play on my top of the line PC that I built from scratch bought it and found out if had less than zero controller support and controller inputs that actually make it a pain for using modern devices such as gaming mouses and even linking a controller and not using it. Am playing on mouse/keyboard and its not terrible but it bothers my eyes as I’m getting older and sitting further away actually helps my eyes when using a controller.
It’s normal to get reading glasses and glasses for screen viewing as we come of age because of changes in the eyes.
Besides most of the streamers and “pro” players use PC with mouse and keyboard. Using a gaming keyboard opens up for a much more relaxed and streamlined gameplay.
